We are in the rainy season here in Louisiana and to keep my excercise going I've bought the Leslie Sansone "Five Mile Fat Burning" walking DVD.

My question is, has anyone else had success by only doing her walking DVDs? I have a long way to go on my weightloss journey but I've been primarily just walking for my cardio but with all the rain it has been impossible to do so every day so I bought this dvd.

Thanks!!!

I also workout to DVDs. I have 2 of her videos and use them on bad weather days. Last week I got a new walking video - Shapely Girl that was pretty good. The time goes much quicker when I have a friend over and we can talk as we workout. I figure the DVDs keep me moving.

I have been successful at losing weight the last 6 weeks but have also been walking/jogging outside, using the treadmill, doing step aerobics some mornings and working on C25K training (now in week 3). I tried doing Jillian's 30 day Shred but it was too hard on my knees. Each week, I seem to have more energy and want to do more exercise.

I just love leslies workouts. I have several of here dvds and really enjoy them. Right now I am alternating one of her dvds with the 30 day shred with jullin michaels. So I get one day of 4 miles of walking and the other day is a shred day.

See you at the sixers :flowerforyou:

I own 25 of her workout DVDs and use them almost daily. (I also own a very nice treadmill.) I have lost 10 pounds primarily using her DVDs. I dislike getting on the treadmill most days due to boredom.
Sometimes I break it up using her DVDs in tandem with walking on the treadmill, walking outside, or on a nearby track. If you are looking to lose using her DVDs exclusively, make sure to do at least one 5-mile one daily while simultaneously monitoring your food intake. (I own that DVD you have and it is very good!) Good luck.

I get her 1 mile and 3 mile workouts for free through my cable provider and I think they are great during the summer when it is 100+ outside. I think my first 10 pounds were lost using them.

:flowerforyou: I just got Leslie Sansone's "Walk Off Your Hips and Thighs". It's a two mile walk plus a hip and thigh workout with exercise bands that hook on your ankles. If that were the only workout I did, it would be effective but boring. I also use Richard Simmons' "Sweatin' to the Oldies". It's a more dancing workout with stretches and leg and arm exercises. I have the anniversary 5 CD set. I don't know if you can buy it in stores. I got it from Amazon. Finding workouts that you can stick with is as important as the actual quality of the workout.

Watching what you eat (clean, high quality food, weighed, measured, and logged in) and how much you eat is as important as your workout.

Thanks everyone, I too have a treadmill but I get so BORED with it!!! The DVD seems to make the time go faster and I get a lot better workout because I'm walking a 12 min mile with the DVD I'm using. With the treadmill I allow myself to slow down and be lazier!! It's a challenge but at the end of a mile I feel like I've accomplished something!!!!
