Favorite protein powder?

What is yours? Sometimes I make smoothies with fruit and spinach, but I want to add some extra protein and have no idea what is a good kind without a lot of added sugars and other things. So what's your favorite kind and where do you buy it? :)

I use BSN Syntha-6, Chocolate Milkshake flavour. It's not as low in calories as some, but it has lots of protein and it is DELICIOUS. I have it as a shake made with skim milk or unsweetened chocolate almond milk. I also make oatmeal cooked in unsweetened chocolate almond milk and add half a scoop of protein powder for a super filling and yummy breakfast!

I was using Body Fortress, but I think I am going to switch to "Now" brand. It only has 3 carbs per serving and 25g of protein. Good stuff!

Edited to say I get mine at my local Healthy Food Store.

    nevermind. I misread the title!

As for protein powders, I've only tried Jillian Michael's and it's just ok. I won't buy it again.
  • I like designer whey natural...it is sweetened with Stevia, I try to stay away from artificial sweeteners

NOW Vanilla Whey Isolate from Amazon
Check the contents--all protein powders are not the same.
Get your carbs from other sources--no your protein powder!

I use GNC's Amp'd Chocolate in mine. I just use one scoop (20g Protein). It blends pretty well and can be easily masked by a cup of blueberries or strawberries.

ARBONNE products are the best. The vanilla and the chocolate protein powders are amazing. Two scoops is only 160 calories. Plus arbonne is soy free, lactose free, preservative free...etc. Arbonne's products are all natural botanically based, cruelty free and vegan friendly :)

I'm not sure what country you are from, so you may not have the same ones there. I love Natures Way Natural Protein - it is a whey protein and does not contain any sugars/flavours. You should be able to get something similar in the vitamin section of your supermarket or health food shop. The "shakes/drinks" designed for weight loss and exercise do tend to have added flavours and sugars. If you are adding your own berries/veggies I think natural is the "whey" to go (haha).
