I have read that works well or doing a few weeks of low carb and then a week of normal carbs.
I Spike my carbs and calories on Fridays to keep my body of balance.0 -
As a Registered Dietitian I have done research regarding this theory. I have seen positive results from carb cycling. Your no carb day is actually 35 gm of non starchy vegetables with a maximum fo two low carb days per week, not back to back.0

From my experience, what helps with weight loss is eating the best nutrition you can, eating an appropriate amount of calories for your lifestyle and activity level and regular workouts. My food diary is very detailed as I record everything, and it's paid off. I've consistently lost weight, no stalls.0

Thanks all... I have been playing with this a little bit but not consistently enough to probably make a difference. Even on my low carb days, I may have a piece of sprouted whole wheat bread and some fruits. As a runner, I need my carbs. I eat a balanced diet but thought I would give this a shot but probably not doing it the proper way to see benefits.0

I try to do a low carb/no sugar day once a week and it seems to help keep the scale moving. I think it really can speed up your metabolism.0
