I've never done it, but I was just looking up when the next one in my city was (next May) and talking to a girl in my Krav Maga class who might be interested in doing it. It sounds like so much fun!

I want to do the Tough Mudder. Do you recommend doing it with a friend? My friend I was working out with became pregnant at the beginning of training, so should I wait to do it with a friend
  • If you like cuts and scrapes and bruises all over you legs, plus a limp for about a week and some random aches, it's amazing. Not to mention that overly cocky sense of accomplishment and pride you have in yourself and your abilities.

    Self esteem +1
    Body -1

Overall, its a good time lol!

Loved it!! It was hard but so much fun and my teammates and I really bonded and pushed ourselves past what we thought we could do. We will be doing another one :)

Hard as hell, but loved it! Mine was a 5k, but with all the obstacles and mud, it felt twice as long. Be prepared to lose some shoes!!

I'm doing the Warrior Dash next month.

haven't done it yet but am pre-registered for next August! Friend of mine did it, he is crazy into working out, cross fit, obstacle races, etc. and he said it was hard! The obstacles were great but the run sucked. Of course, when they hold it here in the north east, it's usually on a ski slope so all up a mountain! I'm really looking forward to the challenge.

total mind over matter -- i didnt' thing it was overly difficult but more fun then anything. the sense of accomplishment is def worth it. Mine was over 12 miles

    it'll push you :)

The one in Florida is 10-12 miles. I don't think you have to be with a team... from what I have seen with dif videos is that people are willing to help each other out (stuck in mud, need a lift for a wall, etc). You can also join a team...
