Hi All,
My name is Kellie and I have 5 kid's I am currently the heaviest I have been in my entire life and I am really sick of avoiding outings because of it.. Here's the catch.. I own a bakery full time and it's second nature for me to test everything to make sure it's correct before it goes out the door so I need to be held responsible for what I put into my body and am so ready to make some new friends who understand and can help me work my way to a better me!

Hi Kellie, You have a hard job when it comes to losing weight. I think Caraiselite is right maybe tasting and then spitting out so as no to add the calories. Drink lots of water through out the day my help.0

This is a difficult situation and I do feel for you. I think that although you are having to taste all your foods, think about your main meals and try to keep them as low fat as possible and reduce your main meal calorie intake. Unfortunately there is no getting round it but im thinking your going to have to take up some exercise as well to help boost your weight loss. Whatever you do, don't give up trying because thats when you've lost the battle0

I can sort of relate.......... My first job was managing a yogurt shop. I gained 20-30 lbs working there. Plus I have a thing for batter... cookie, bread, cake, etc. I couldn't do your job and not nibble.
You probably need to go with smaller samples, have a co-worker you trust do some of the sampling and account for it in your diary. Can you make a bigger batch so you only have to sample once vs twice? Plus you will have to eat cleaner and healthier when not working. Go with very filling meals so you won't be tempted to sample any more than you have to.
Exercise is going to be your friend. I think the key for you is carving out time for yourself so you can exercise, eat healthy, etc. I found being able to burn extra calories allows me to enjoy the things I would normally want to deprive myself of when I diet. It's just all about moderation.
Good luck! I would think your job would be a love/hate relationship for me. I love to bake but haven't done much of it since I started to lose weight. Maybe you can be creative and come up with some low cal treats to sell .... I would think that would sell big time! I know I would be a customer.0 -
