Food Allergies Need Help

I have severe food allergies to blueberries and to shell fish and well even some normal fish. And a lot of the recipes that are good for me can kill me. So what can I substitute for blueberries and seafood to keep the same healthy content with out the death label all over it. Thank you.

What other kinds of fish can you eat? I'm allergic to shellfish but not fish. My son has a severe allergy to blueberries but can eat other fruits. There are plenty of other great fruits to choose from. Good luck with the recipes and don't be afraid to tweak the ingredients. It might turn out even better.

I'm really too afraid to try other fish after my run in with salmon. I have no idea why I am even allergic to fish! It's crazy to me. And I eat a lot of strawberries in place of blueberries but I need something different so I don't go crazy and hate strawberries lol. Plus I know blueberries are beauty fruit and I was wondering if blue berries are the only beauty fruit or are there others. I have to do research.

Try frozen fruits. I buy and use up a package of frozen raspberries weekly! I change it up with bite sized peaches every now and then.

    Thank you for that. :)

Chicken is great for you, there are all kinds of other fruits. Really, I wouldn't try to sub out fish from a recipe. Just start looking for new recipes.

We eat fish only about twice a month at our house. It's totally do-able to lose weight and not eat fish! I think some recipe sites have search engines that you can qualify what ingredients you don't want to include in your search.

If you get a chance find a U-pick farm this summer and stock up on the fruits that you can have and freeze them. You'll save a ton of money, and have some fun. Our family goes and picks about 40 lbs of blueberries (I know not for you) every year and it's a wonderful tradition.

Keep looking and trying things out. You'll get it!
