Body rock?

Who out there uses bodyrock at home workouts? I just found the site and am lost. I do not know where to start. Can somebody help me out. Also...is it worth useing bodyrock, am I going to see results? I do not have access to a gym...the closest one is over 45minutes away. The only thing I have been doing so far is zumba for over a year off and on, and I have almost finished with C25K. WHen I am finished with C25K I want to continue to work on getting faster but I also want to start stregnth training.

    when i consitantly did bodyrock i noticed differences in like 2 weeks!! its great and free but i wont say easy!! one the website to start with just pick a video watch the series then do them at home. its typically 50/10 second intervals (50 on 10 rest). most have modifications for beginners or if you have a weak area. I typically write down the workout on a sheet of paper and track how much of each exercise i can do in each interval! have fun and prepare to sweat!

    Im interested in this as well. I found it online but not sure if there is a starting point either. The site is busy and a little confusing. I just finished the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels and now I'm working on the Cardio Max DVD from biggest loser. The body rock work- outs will definitely help with building muscle and burning fat! Now if we can just figure out where to start!

    I've done body rock on and off but i love it! when i did it two weeks consistently i didn't notice a physical difference but i could definitely tell i could keep up with the workout better and do more reps. and yes, the website is hella confusing. i usually just click on the videos on the side or go through the blog and find workouts i wanna do. some of them are waaay to hard for what i wanna do in the day (lol) or they use alot of the sandbag or dip bars or something and i don't have any of the equipment so it was kind of limiting which workouts i could do. but it works great, just hard to get used to finding videos.

    oh and i used my kitchen timer for a while to do the 50 second interval counting and then i found an interval timer on my iphone.

    I cannot begin to express how much I love Bodyrock, and how much it has changed my body in even a short period of time. I started in May, a year ago, and within ONE month I lost 10 lbs and 7 total inches overall. From May to January I lost 43 inches overall, but then I had to stop doing the workouts due to some knee issues. From January until 2 weeks ago, I lost all my muscle tone and gained some of the weight back.. I restarted Bodyrock 2 weeks ago and I already see muscle definition where there was only flab.

    HOWEVER, I only do the older workouts with the original host, Zuzana. I don't care for any of the current hosts. I have a huge bookmark folder full of dozens upon dozens of her older interval and "for time" workouts. I always do her warm up, and cool down videos, and I use a free online interval timer. I don't do any of her new ZWOW workouts because they just don't feel the same to me.. I'm definitely a Zuzi = Bodyrock loyalist. lol

    I just started BodyRock last week. Its short, but so tough! You are right though, the website is really confusing at first and its not clear where/how to start. Basically they post a new workout everyday - the workouts are 12 minutes in length and run in a circuit with (typically) 50 seconds on then 10 seconds rest (I use an interval timer app on my phone to help track the timing). An example workout would be four different exercises done 3 times, which totals 12 minutes. The number of exercises and number of rounds varies between workouts, but they always list them on the workout page. They will show you how to do it in the video, and give you alternate exercises if you don't have the equipment they use or are a beginner.

    Since it is confusing to start, I recommend starting with their 30 day May challenge (yes its mid June, but you can still start now!) and they walk you through it pretty well. Thats how I got started and I'm now pretty comfortable with the site.     If you click the workouts button and on the drop down change it to ascending it will bring you to the first workouts

    Just jump in and do them. Lisa always explains modifications. I went from skinny fat to this ( profile pic). Because I want to build more muscleim at a gym now but still bodyrock.

    I like BodyRock until Lisa had her "transformation". She now has gigantic fake boobs & lips , and hair extensions. All she needs is the Czech accent and she will have morphed into Zuzana. Me thinks Freddy has a lil problem..... :tongue:

    The workouts are ok. I liked that they are quick. It was a nice complement to my running. But, as I said...... I can't even look at her with those big, fake, gross boobs. :sick:

    I have a dip station, not the equalizer. I almost never use it. My 9 year old daughter, on the other hand has a blast on it almost every day. She kicks my *kitten* too!!!

    Freddie still owns his porn production company so I think he has a little side business with the BR hosts. I really could care less about the porn stuff, but the new Bodyrock routines can't hold a candle to the old ones (IMO).

    A lot of pre-Lisa Bodyrockers didn't like the "new" bodyrock. I wasn't bodyrocking then, so I don't know the history or care. All I know is that I started this January, and by mid-February, my abs has definition. If you look on my profile, the black and grey bikini pic is from mid-Feb. I also have a before and after bodyrock pic in there. That's a 4 months progress. I've read from the comments on bodyrock site that some people with more weight to lose don't see the progress as quickly.

    I actually suggest going back to the January 30 Day Challenge, if you don't want to just pick up the daily workouts. That challenge was the best for beginner/new bodyrock because it involved the least equipments and moves/exercises were simpler.
