I have a had a few occasions recently where I have noticed my strength coming in handy in real life, not to mention impressing others.
Recent example, at the liquor shop purchasing 2 cartons of beer for hubbie and step-dad. I grabbed the first one and the guy said "do you need a hand carrying that to the car", I said "nah I'm fine, just chuck the other one on top". He looked at me incredulously and loads it on me and I proceeded to walk out. He looks at my mum and is like "woah, impressive!" lol
Secondly on the weekend moving this huge metal icebox full of softdrink, my cousins boyfriend struggled with his side while I deadlifted mine easily ;-)
Playing with my little cousins, I can literally throw them around. Was even clean & jerking my 7 year old cousin:)
Anyone else notice their strength in everyday life?

I work in a print shop, so I move boxes of paper fairly often. a case of 10 reams weighs about 50 pounds and I realized recently that I can lift one over my head now that I do my shoulder presses with 25lb dumbbells =D0

Love those examples - especially when you're expected to be the 'poor weak woman'.
My kids love doing the 'exercises' with me, especially the 4yo who likes to sit on my hand while I one arm shoulder press her - only just though!0 -

I love this! My husband did a masonry job at our house a few weeks ago and there was a huge pile of clumps of bricks, mortar and cement blocks that had to go to the transfer station. I had some time one day so I loaded them into the truck (8ft bed - about half full) and off I went. Got some pretty curious looks from the contractors who were also offloading that morning - as I repeatedly picked up and threw 30-40 pound chunks of debris off the back! I felt awesome!
I'm finally living up to my name - ruggedBear0 -
Lifting 5 gallon buckets full of feed. I used to grab one bucket with both hands, shuffleshuffleshuffle, set it down, pick it up repeat. Last month I was in a hurry, filled two buckets and took off with them. I was halfway to where I was going when I realized what I was doing. I had a smile on my face the rest of the day.0

That's great! Your hard work is paying off!
Last winter I was getting to where I could occasionally split firewood with one hand on the axe.
Last night while picking up thin set for some home renovation, I realized again how strength I gained. Not one huff or grunt crawling underneath racking while carrying 50 lbs of mortar and chucking onto a cart, it felt great!0 -
That is awesome progress, you must be so pleased!
I don't have a specific example, but just general times when I realise things are easier than they used to be.
- Carrying 15kg (33lb) bags of dog food from the store.
- Putting heavy boxes on the top shelve in the work warehouse easily.
- People able to take 45kg (99lb) plates off the bar in the gym when some idiot has just left them there instead of re-racking them!
- Picking up my dog (when he was a puppy, he was still big!!) to carry him down the stairs after he got too afraid to walk down himself.0
