I need some health food ideas, other than the same ol grilled chicken, oatmeal, fruits and veggies...what do you got?

    Well it really depends on what you like. Do you like fish? I marinade SKINLESS salmon in a mix of citrus juices (grapefruit, lemon and lime) a little dill and some salt and pepper then lay it on a "bed" of sliced oranges on a cedar plank and grill it. Served with a citrus, fennel and arugula salad.

    When the hubby wants burgers I make black bean burgers instead of beef (for me)

    For breakfast (or a snack) fresh (or frozen) berries mixed into greek yogurt with a little bit of homemade granola on top - drizzle with honey

    I stir fry carne asada beef with low sodium soy sauce and adam's all natural peanut butter add frozen stir fry veggies and serve that over brown and wild rice.

    I add flax seed and wheat germ to pretty much everything.

    Nothing wrong with lean red meat if you can afford it.

    well.. protein wise i go for tuna, cottage cheese (low fat if you dont have many calories, normal if you do!), eggs, milk...

    tuna mixed with light philadelphia cheese and sweetcorn is delicious with either salad or topping on a jacket potato or pitta bread... another favourite is wholemeal pitta covered in light philly, pastrami, spinach and cucumber... yummy! i also tend to have spinach instead of salad leaves as i like it better.
