Wow.. a 1/4 cup/32grams of dried fruit is a lot less than I thought! HA!!

This will be my new bestfriend! I've already measured out all of my ground turkey and some other foods I bought today. I've always tried to measure things with a measuring cup, but it just didn't seem accurate enough.

For those interested... I bought the Tayloer (Biggest Loser) Digital Scale from Bed Bath & Beyond for $20!

arent they great?? I got mine from my BF who had one for a diet he was on several years ago-but it has been unused since. I love it. I can finally see if I can have more of something based on actual weight!

Its great for rice and beans by the way :)

i am on my way right now to go get one. I hate measuring. I would rather just drop it on scale and go. I think this would be more accurate. Thank you so much!

What's really great is how HUGE some portions are when you weigh them out. I like to braise chicken breast in a skillet w/just a little EVOO and some pepper or onions or something. A serving is 4 ounces - maybe I get 6 ounces if it's a weights workout day. Well,,, 6 ounces is one *$&%-HUGE piece of chicken.

Wouldn't want to be without mine. It was a real eye opener how much I had underestimated my portions :noway: No wonder I couldn't lose weight
  • Is that a more accurate measure? Maybe I should get one!

Oh yeah, a good digital scale is deadly accurate. You will get exactly what you're trying to get. Mine can detect a dozen grains of rice :noway:
  • I need one...I hate trying to guess how much im eating and i know im wayyy off most of the time. I just need to stop procrastinating and buy one.

It's dead on. This scale switches between ounces and grams so it's much easier just to weigh things.
