what is everyone saying around there about the Sandusky thing?? Just saw that he got 3 of the counts dismissed...so now there's "only" 48!

What are local people saying about this whole thing?

    I would say the major difference between here and everywhere else is that people here tend to be more sympathetic to Paterno and Penn State but just as anxious to see Sandusky put away for the rest of his life!

    So most people think he's guilty? I'm in WI so I only get what the news tells us. Personally I think the guy is a sicko and will make a nice boyfriend to someone in the slammer. But again...I only get what the news says...

    Yeah, I would say most of us think he's guilty. I'm waiting anxiously for the verdict.

    I'm in South Jersey and I haven't heard one person say they think he's innocent. I think any crimes involving children get the least sympathy from people. We all only get what the news tells us (about everything I might add) but I don't care how amazing a person might be, if they commit even one crime against a child, they are scum to me. Agreed that people are much more sympathetic towards Paterno but even his lack of action was questionable.

    It's an atrocity. We all think he should fry. Regardless of the outcome, to even place yourself in such situations for such accusations is just wrong. Whatever the truth is, he will meet his maker some day. In my heart I hope its not true, but if it is, then judgement will come upon him.

    We don't talk about it much, and my friends/family and I are die-hard, do for ol' State!. Paterno is our hero, and we all have come to realize that in life it only takes one moment, one situation, one person to bring you down. Paterno was a great leader and teacher. His legacy will live long, proud and forever.

    Wear your PSU garb and support PSU without hesitation. Its not the University...it is one person. Always there is shrapnel, but it is one device that causes the shrapnel.
