I just had a very filling breakfast and it was only ~375 calories. The recipe was flavorful and satisfying!

The recipe is:

-1/2 cup cooked oatmeal, prepared with water - 140 calories
-1 scoop of protein powder - 140 calories (optional)
-1/2 cup of berries - I used strawberries and blueberries - 27 calories
-2 Tbsp. flaxseed - 60 calories (optional)
-1/4 cup of skim, almond, rice, or soy milk - I used unsweetened almond milk - 10 calories
-To sweeten it a bit I added a packet of Truvia (optional)

If you wanted to lower the calories you could leave out the protein powder and flaxseeds.

I do 1/2 cup oatmeal, half a scoop of vanilla protein, and a tablespoon of natural peanut butter, oh and a touch of milk on top. Soooo good. Sometimes I mix it up and use chocolate protein for PB and chocolate oatmeal!
Works out to be about 350 calories and I'm good until lunch!

That also sounds delicious! Peanut butter is my weakness, so I have to watch my intake of it, before I know it half the jar is gone! LOL. The chocolate protein is also a good suggestion. I've never heard of chocolate oatmeal though.

I use more almond milk and less oatmeal but this is exactly what I put in my morning smoothies. Yummo!
