Jillian Michael's Body Revolution-Scale Warfare's Journey

I figured I'd start a topic and update it as I work through the 90 Day Program. I've really enjoyed and have been inspired by reading others posts about their Body Revolution, so maybe someone will get the same from my posts.
I was very excited that the package arrived last Friday, instead of the estimated Monday. I really wanted to start this past Monday (June 18th) because like most of us, I love to start new things on Mondays! I workout regularly already, 5+ days per week, and am down about 110 pounds. I did have weight loss surgery, but let me tell you, it is NOT the easy way out. I still have to chose what foods I put in my body, and I still have to chose to work my *kitten* off in the gym. I've been getting a bit stagnant with my gym routine, so I figured that the Body Revolution would be something fun to mix in.
I am not following her Kick Start meal plan, because it doesn't give my reduced stomach enough protein throughout the day, so I am going to stick with my nutritionists plan, that actually does match up calorie wise with JM's Kick Start numbers. I am following her Kick Start workout schedule though. The only caveat to that, is that on the two double cardio days, I might do the Cardio 1 workout and then go to the gym for the second workout. Doing the same DVD twice just sounds blah to me.
She recommends working out in the AM, but since I already wake up at 5AM, there's no way that I can get up any earlier without being grumpy pants all day long.
Yesterday I started Phase 1! I did Workout 1 followed immediately by Cardio 1. I know Jillian's reputation of being a bit militant, but I absolutely adore her. She is so supportive and motivational during both of these workouts. I really enjoyed them. Yes I had to push hard, but there wasn't anything I physically couldn't do. I was able to keep up without any issue. I couldn't have said that 110 pounds ago, that is for sure.
I'm not sore today at all. I actually feel great. Tonight will be Workout 2 followed immediately by Cardio 1 again.

Good for you! I recently finished the program and I loved it!!0

That's great CMich! Did you have decent results?
I'm excited for a mix up in my workout routine. I really like the idea that every few weeks things are different.0 -
Completed Day 2 yesterday, which included Cardio 1 and Workout 2.
I originally thought that I wasnt going to be sore from Workout 1, but turns out the muscle towards the front part of my armpit was TOTALLY sore. I like that kind of sore Shows me that I've done something.
Workout 2 seemed less intense than Workout 1, but I think that has to do with the different muscle groups that you are using. While I am not sore today, I can feel in my body which muscles I worked out. Feels great! Cardio 1 went smoothly.
Tonight I am supposed to double up on Cardio 1, but I think I will do the DVD once and then hit the gym for some time on the elliptical for my second workout of the day. So glad that it's only the first week (if you are doing the Kick Start Program) that there are double workouts!0 -
Day 3 DONE today! I did Cardio 1 workout and then also did 30 minutes on the Elliptical. The Kick Start Program says to do Cardio 1 twice, but I didn't want to do the DVD twice in a row. I mean it's fun, but not THAT fun!
Feeling awesome.0 -
Day 4 DONE! Today was Cardio 1 and Workout 1. I got through them both with no issue. I seriously find so much inspiration from Jillian. She's so positive and inspiriting, constantly pushing you to do more. I can't believe that I only have two more days of working out and Week 1 will be complete!0

I'm doing Body Revolution...started it a few months ago, but fell off the wagon, so I started over two Weeks ago. Phase 2 is pretty brutal!0
-
That sounded really bad...it's brutal, but I expected that from Jillian. Good luck to you and keep up the great work you've done so far!0
-
I started it about a month ago myself and fell of the wagon. Starting again this Monday and sticking to it, while my cousin does her fitness regimen given to her by her track coach. We're going to motivate each other to get through our respective workouts.0

Ha! I was thinking Phase 2 was going to be brutal. It's almost as if she's too nice in Phase 1. I still get an insanely awesome workout, but I was expecting punishment from Day 1. Three more weeks to Phase 2 for me!0

That's great that you have each other, one on one motivation is a great thing!0

A couple of days behind on my updates, oops! I have completed Week1 of Phase 1. So far I am still enjoying it. Some of the moves I can do the advanced version of, and some of the moves I do the standard version of. The "running mans" kick my bootie, but the suicides I love. I must be a strange bird!
Sunday was tough, it was a rest day, but I felt anxious all day. My body wanted to do something. I did a lot of work around the house and out in the yard, which helped quell some of the anxiousness.
Today starts Week 2 of Phase 1. Same workout schedule as last week, except now it's only one workout a day.
Monday: Workout 1
Tuesday: Workout 2
Wednesday: Cardio 1
Thursday: Workout 1
Friday: Workout 2
Saturday: Cardio 1
Sunday: Off0 -
Finished Workout 1 of Week 2 today. While the workouts aren't "easy" they also aren't a challenge. I've been doing more and more of the advanced versions of the different moves and am working on increasing my weights. I need to pick up an 8-10 pound set of dumbbells.
Tomorrow is Workout 2!
I'm not going to weigh in again until July 22nd, the scale has been messing with my mind, so the plan is to neglect it0 -
Finished Workout 2 of Week 2 Phase 1 tonight. I also ordered 8 and 10 pound weights from amazon. The 10 lb ones are arriving tomorrow and the 8 pounders on Thursday. Since Wednesday is Cardio 1, I won't need weights anyways.
I did the advanced move for almost everything today I think, even added weights for the ones that Jillian recommended adding them to if you are ready.
I'm getting nervous for the next two workouts (3 and 4) because I'm guessing Jillian is going to start to really step it up!0 -
