On a weight loss journey....

Hi. I am new to MyFitnessPal and just tired of being the fat mom on the sidelines not being able to interact and play with my kids as I should. I am a single mother of 4, ( ages, 9, 12, 14, 16), so I cant blame baby fat any more. I have a goal of losing at least 50 pounds. I find the hardest part being that I work nights, so my eating habits and patterns are never on a schedule. Eating out is a daily part of my life, so then again finding something healthy on a menu at 3am is really hard to do!
I live in a new city, and new job, which also makes finding people to work out with is a little difficult.
I love all the message boards with positive results and hope to be posting some of my own in the near future!

Angela

  • My father works on those sort of times and he just makes sure he cooks dinner before he goes to work and when he gets home from work he heats it up. no take aways necessary. where there is a will there is a way :) good luck with your weight loss journey

I definitely know what it's like to start over in a new city with a new job and even getting new friends! I can definitely agree working out alone, in a brand new city is daunting.

Thanks for the replys already ladies! My next question is for any one with an answer... lol....

On the days that I am litterally awake for 24 to 36 or more hours, can I have more than 1200 calories? I find myself very hungry sometimes even when I have already had my allowance.... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Staying under 1200 is not hard when I have a "normal day",
