Red meats and diet sodas..

So, I work at the movies and i have access to UNLIMITED soda. I've decided yesterday that I'm going to stop drinking soda, diet or non but one cup a week. Is this smart? I had a bit of a headache yesterday from not having any.
also, red meat. Why is it bad? I made an egg white and steak omelet (no cheese) with peppers and onions. I know I'm supposed to have lean meats, but why can't you eat red?

My motto is 'everything in moderation'. There's nothing wrong with red meat as long as it's lean. Just try and grill it if you can and don't eat too much. As for the soda, you're probably just suffering from caffeine withdrawl. That'll fade as your body gets used to it, but again, everything in moderation. I love soda, I just try not to drink it too often. Just make sure you log it so the calories and sugars are getting added to your diet. Your omelette sounds fine, it's pretty balanced.
It can depend on your personality too. Some people are all or nothing types, and can't have just a little of something. But if you can, then go for it!0 -
Lean red meat is fine, and the occasional burger will not kill you-of course it's always better to make the burger yourself:) soda, i do one/two diets a week. I agree-Everything in moderation0
