Weekend Treats

Hi All!
I don't know about any of you but Friday and Saturday nights were always 'takeaway night' in my house.
Does anyone else become a little more relaxed at the weekend or allow themselves a particular treat and if so, what is it?
I have mine in front of me. A bag of Skips and a Milky Bar and it feels like more of a treat than a previous weekend filled with Chinese, Burger King and Pringles!:) Yumm!!!

During the week I try no to eat candy and cookies etc. but on the weekends I cut something else out so that I can eat my heart out. It's not healthy but I will never give up my snacks unless I have to lol0

During the week, I am fairly strict with my eating, mostly because I have my routine and meals planned out. I am usually under by about 200 calories each day, so on the weekends I can be more flexible. I don't say no to a cookie or pizza on Fridays. It works out for me because I don't feel deprived, and have been able to keep this up for 5 months and counting!!0

I do.
Weekends tend to be my "cheat" days...but then again I am not a huge cheater either lol My husband and I work out ahead of time where we want to go for dinner <usually> and I can look at the menu and decide then, and if something looks good then I spend a little extra time on the treadmill or in the pool at the gym that day.
Tonight we are going to a movie.. he wants to see Prometheus. The place we go to serves dinner with the movie, and its pretty good tbh. So, knowing that ahead of time, I banked some calories over the week, and am going to water aerobics today so that I can have the little pizza they have and my diet coke, and I might even split a dessert with him. I know I might go over my daily, but I am ok with that. I exercised, and I am still losing weight doing it this way.
During the week if I really need a treat I let myself have a cookie serving...usually one of the new thin cookies from Fig Newtons...the lemon ones are good!! They are higher in fiber and the calories are not terrible, so I can "indulge". I also tend to have a ton of calories left at the end of the day cos I cant eat all of them back normally, so I can have a serving of Trader Joes Fruit Jellies if I need a "candy" fix. I also have the 100 calorie chocolate bars from TJ's too.
My rule of thumb for me is unless it is at a restaurant, if there is no bar code/serving info/nutritional info, I can't have it. If its at a restaurant? I will allow a dessert but I must share, and I must have worked out that day AND eaten healthy most of the day. It seems to work I can have a few bites and be done...before I had to have the whole thing and part of my husbands0 -
We do that all the time. Now, we prepare so we can eat cleaner during the weekends by eating left-overs from the week and making "snack bags" with healthier choices. For example, we weigh out carrots, celery, grapes, strawberries, etc. and put them in baggies for quick and easy access. Most of the time it is so easy to grab a bag of chips or something else ready to eat. So when fruits and veggies (or whatever you use for your quick snack) are readily available, you find less excuse to eat the bady stuff. lol It makes really really hard to justify that cake, cookie, chips, or whatever.
Best wishes for your success.0 -
That's typical me too. I try to not eat sweets on weekdays, but if i really crave it i will have one as long as I stay under my calorie goal! But on Fridays and Saturday I will always have a small treat like one chocolate cookie or a cupcake...IN MODERATION
But i'll never eat chips/oreocake or burgerking burger as a treat! CalorieKing0
