Not losing weight......

I recently gained a lot of weight back that I lost last year and am having the most AWFUL time getting it off. I have been trying for two months and my scale will not BUDGE (I've tried 4 other scales hoping mine was just broken :grumble: )...and I really mean that. I fluctuate .2 pounds and that is it.
For the first month, I ate an honest 1200 calories/day with a 1 hour run 6 days a week. I did not lose anything. So I thought "alright, maybe this 'eat your exercise calories' thing is true". So for the second month, I did 1200-1400 net calories/day with 2 hours of hiking or one hour of running 6 days a week. Still, not ONE pound lost. I am not doing any lifting (a little bit of toning exercises here and there, but it doesn't seem like it would be anything that would completely counteract fat loss in terms of the number on the scale). I am very very honest with my calorie counting and count every bite that goes in my mouth, especially after that first month of losing nothing.
What gives?? Anyone have similar issues? Hypothyroidism runs in my family (mom, aunt and great-aunt are all hypo), so I got blood drawn this week to test for it, but don't have the results back yet. In the meantime, I'm just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and knows what might be up.
Thanks in advance!

Lifting/strength exercises build muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories your body burns, even at rest so you might want to rethink your non-lifting regimen.0

That I know haha...I do a lot of stuff with light weights, but nothing heavy. Just enough to maintain muscle that I built when not trying to lose. Thank you though0 -
I should probably say that I've done the whole weight loss thing before (a year and a half ago) and know what works for my body...last time I was losing, I ate 1200/day gross with about 4 or 5 days/week of cardio and didn't focus on my net. I lost 25 pounds in 4 months, so I am confused as to why it's not working now0

I have your exact issues. I am a pretty healthy eater..when I put my mind to it. I go under calories a lot..and run.and strength training..no loss. Doctor says add calories..gain. Try small meals throughout day..no loss. Tested hormones ect.. Normal range. The weight will not come off. Took shots, actually gained. I read a lot, I know a lot about training but can't seem to figure out why I am not making progress. This is my first time to blog, so I dont know what to expect, but your blog made me think maybe someone might be able to give me anything to help. This was replying to hrl1993.0
