STUPID... But glad it's over :)

Erbert and Gerberts opened a new store in the skyway near my job. I used to eat there in college (10+ years ago) and haven't been since as there are none near-by.

So today I indulged. Sandwhich + chips = 1050 calories... OUCH -- but I KNEW they would because I looked up all the calories beforehand.

However, it was NOT GOOD! YAAY! So I screwed up for a day (won't be too bad when I take the dogs for a walk later), but now that I've quenched the craving I don't have to worry about going back!

I did this the other day with Dominos Pizza. Was supposed to have chicken for dinner after a workout but it went bad before the sell by date and I didn't have time to go buy some more and cook it. So I ordered Dominos. Hadn't had it in a couple of months and decided I wanted some due to the chicken tragedy. And while it was as I remembered it, after eating it I felt horrible. Not just guilty, but like I had just ate dog food. I could tell my body was wondering what the hell I was doing. I doubt I will ever have Dominos again. It was alright, just not worth it. Plus, pizza from back home (New York) is a bajillion times better and I'd much rather wait to have that  I'm just glad I got that "last taste" in.

I'm glad you got your last "fix" and I'm sorry it wasn't how you remembered it, but maybe that's a good thing. Now you can relish in the memories of those tasty sandwiches instead of injesting them...and 1050 calories

I'm from NY too and when I moved to NJ last year I'll be damned if I can find a single good pizza place, this killed my pizza craving LOL

Exactly! I DO think it's a good thing because I won't be going back there... no need to waste those calories there again

GLAD I'm not the only one!!

I am glad i am not alone on the Domino's in an emergency case! Yesterday i planned on having a not so healthy lunch (end of month and food is running out...we only shop once a month). Opened my can of soup and there was a funky brown layer of film on it. I ordered domino's ham and pineapple pizza. Tasted awesome but i felt like CRAP after wards...guess what I had for lunch today and guess what i feel like......
We go grocery shopping tomorrow!!! I had to hit the store this morning and grab sandwich stuff for the kids who are home from school....

I had it for dinner 3 nights in a row (leftovers, ugh)....was not happy about that. But now it's gone, yay! Going grocery shopping this weekend, as I go once a week....damn produce lol.

Oh we go grab milk, fruit and bread every other week but the REAL shopping only once a month. We save a ton of money doing it that way

You know, I have never had a Domino's pizza...what are they like? Are they that good?
I have ordered ice cream and cookies from them, lol, during nighttime cravings, not good, but never been a big pizza person, other than pizza express here in the Uk, so have no idea what Dominos are like.

I really, REALLY dislike Dominos, lol

I guess some peeps like it, but it's just a very bland, very unoffensive chain restaurant pizza

I prefer more 'character' with mine :)

I have to avoid Five Guys. I'm glad it's not conveniently located to my house or I'd weigh even more than I do now. Unfortunately, i've never had anything bad from Five Guys so I keep wanting to go back.

Not into Dominos myself. Papa Johns and Pizza Hut are close by Dominos and I usually go with Pizza Hut if I'm getting delivery but I prefer Papa Murphy's thintastic chicken artichoke pizza. You take it home and bake it yourself. It's delicious and low calorie :)

I hate Dominos pizza! I love Giovonnis, but stuff like that just isn't as good as it used to be.

Yay!!!...Good for you! You tried it and wasn't quite as good as you remember...That's always a plus! Now just make sure you have a snack on-hand when you get super hungry and end up walking the place!!! You know what I mean???

1000 calorie meal with exercise really should not set you back at all. Many of my meals on a good day are 800-100 k-cals.

Arkansas = US Pizza Company. It may not be NY, but it is pretty yummy. They even make a GF one.

Being an Italian girl moved to the US a couple of years ago, I've always struggled with friends and colleagues about GOOD food. They keep saying I'm spoiled  So I ended up going for lunches and dinners with them and gaining 12 pounds in 3 months. It's taking me ages to lose those extra pounds and I'm only half way down.

Nevertheless, while I was reading your post, I finally understood what they meant with "spoiled". Yes, I'm spoiled with food, in the sense that my body knows better than me what is good for me. I will always thank my mom for this

Btw, I never even get close to a Domino's pizza place... I know what a pizza should taste like and I agree, NYC has some fantastic pizza places. Too bad I live in Cali
