So I am curently on a low fat diet, because of my gullblader. (getting it taken out soon !! ) I have lost the lb's, But I was just wondering what kind of good excercises would be good to help tone up around your lower stomach area, thighs and butt. I know you cant really focause on one part of your body, but my main one is my lower stomach.
I've been doing some ab work outs, but half the time I cant seem to keep myself motivated to continue doing them. I'm not a big gym person, I do most my stuff at home. I do have a jump rop, and Im trying to start jogging and running soon too.
But if someone could help me on what would be best to help tone that lower stomach, it would be great !

I have always gained tons of weight (80 lbs. during and 20 lbs. post pregnancy) and the only thing that has ever worked for me is no carbs, other than fruits and veggies after lunch and weighted workouts, such as squats with weighted bar, walking with weighted vest or backpack up and down a hill. I start with 5 lbs in the vest/backpack and increase as I feel okay. I get the weight up to 40 lbs. I don't know if this will work for you, but it's worked for me! I hope this helps.0

try leg lifts they work ur lower stomach and do planks. leg lifts are where u lay flat on ground with hands at ur side and lift feet off ground. raise them and lower them without touching the ground. u can also do scissor motions and this will kick ur butt! planks ( WHAT I CALL PLANKS) are where you are on ur elbows and toes and you try to stay straight as possible....i can only last 30 seconds then break then do again and again and again! you can google planks and it will show you proper way to do it. good luck...0

there is no such thing as exercises that tone. it's a myth.

lift heavy weights to get stronger.
look up new rules for lifting for women. great starting point.0 -
You may not be able to tone the fat, but you can tone the muscle UNDER the fat, which will in turn help life your body a little bit, and help with inches.
I agree with leg lifts, squats, lunges... and good old fashion cardio has always helped tone my core.0 -

you just said you know you can't spot "tone" but then you asked for exercises to work a specific area... that doesn't make much sense.
you need to work your entire body with challenging exercise. if you want to get thinner, you will need to work your whole body and lose fat from all over. weight lifting with a barbell you can find in your gym, on a program like New Rules of Lifting for Women, in addition to regular, challenging, cardio, is going to help you lose fat and at that point you will see the muscle underneath that will help you look thinner.0
