Is your goal realistic?
Mine is just a dream and not sure if it's reachable. Nonetheless, I'm going after it.
A dear friend of mine told me this when I had goals to play college football.
"Set your goals to the stars, not the clouds. You may not reach the stars, but you'll definitely get past the clouds."
So, I was just wondering!

I honestly don't care if others believe if my goals in life are realistic or not. I'm determined to reach them and I have no doubt someday I will. I believe that life is a journey and right now I am focusing on getting healthy so I can reach any dream or goal I can come up with!0

mine is very realistic Im aiming for the upper end of a healthy weight ...... I used to be 8 1/2 stone (119lbs) Im 5ft 6 (although then I was 5 ft 7 and ive shrunk ( ....
I am aiming for 10 - 10 1/2 stone (140-147lbs)
im only 18-25lbs away0 -
My original goals were NOT reasonable one bit.
I was going to take over the world along with everybody else of my generation who was stoked to un-do the damage done by the previous generation. Enter life...:noway:
Once reality bit me in the butt, I had to reset everything at age 16, and from then on, I was ON MY WAY.
I do not rule the universe, but I did well achieving everything I set out to accomplish.
It may not seem much to some, but it is everything to me.

I totally believe my goal is achievable... Just have to really put the effort in it.0

i will reach all of my goals, always have and always will! anyone who says they can't just isn't trying hard enough0
-
Yeah, my goals are realistic. I'm aiming for about 160 pound, which is right in the middle of my healthy weight range.0
-
I think I have a similar mindset. My goal weight is my old high school wrestling weight of 171 lbs when I had 7% body fat. Not sure if I can get there, but that's what I'm shooting for.0

Not exactly what I asked but I like the response.0 -

well at the moment my goal is to have a 6 pack , then a new goal will arise0 -
Yeah, my goals are realistic. I'm aiming for about 160 pound, which is right in the middle of my healthy weight range.
^^ Me, too. I only have about 15 or so lbs left to lose. WE CAN DO THIS!0 -
I reached my first goal of 20lbs in 3 months. Now I'm not sure about the next 10 in one month, we'll see, I know I can do 8 for sure!
Now for the final goal, a total of 60 by October, I think it can be done. Will have to play it day by day for now.0 -
I personally don't know what my end goal is. I'm thinking I will know it when I reach it. Short terms goals are not to bad and have reached "IT" so far. I want to lose 15 lbs a month. So far I'm doing it. We shall see what the next few months will bring0

I set my goal to be totally attainable. Once I get there I will set a new goal, either by weight, body fat %, or some sort of fitness goal.0

Mine is realistic from 191 to 150. It is in the top range of my healthy weight for my height. I have set several smaller goals in-between and I am only 11 lbs away from my goal weight now. Once I hit there I will have a new goal but I will be more focused on building lean muscle and tightening up than weight lose on the scale and go from there.0

(i may actually dump another 5 once i hit the first goal...we shall see)0 -
No, probably not. The hardest part is going to be tattooing my eyeballs completely black. I'm up for the challenge, though.

When i first started this journey i thought i was dreaming now i'm almost to my goal weight and thinking about making another goal. My goals in life may be unattainable though as i have been told, but they are my goals so eh.0

Yeppers peppers. I'm currently 141, aiming for 105 at 5'4. (:0

Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with aiming for an ideal and getting most of the way there. Or eating a certain way and having the occasional indulgence. You'd go nuts otherwise.
My initial weight loss goal I thought was realistic and it turns out it was. I have been continuing down my nutritional path and can see I can do a whole lot better, maybe even some level of fitness that I would never have thought I would achieve at the ripe 'old age' of 40. As I carry on I seem to have boundless energy and no mental 'fog' or periods of being down.
I can feel that my body is grateful for the switch and wants me to do a whole lot better so I am continuing until I find a natural intuitive state of 'fitness'. The number on the scale is immaterial to me but I'll be interested to see where it ends up in any case
This all sounds like some kind of unbelievable guff I know (hey, I could be a morbidly obese troll just saying this stuff for a laugh) but I swear it is true.
I guess the idea is to aim high and, who knows, the journey may encourage you to go higher still as you gain energy and well-being.0 -
I always have goals... so if one doesn't happen to work out, there's always another to work on. I've reached many of them and plan on doing the same with more.0
-
I'm going to saw yes it is. I have a goal of dropping another 80lbs, and yeah I'll do it. It might take me another 2 years because I'm building muscle at the same time but I'll still hit it0

"Set your goals to the stars, not the clouds. You may not reach the stars, but you'll definitely get past the clouds."
I love that quote! Its how I think of eating actually. meaning, I aim to eat the healthiest possible, but I know I will fail sometimes. Since I am persistent and giving my best effort, my failures won't be huge ones usually, and I can still do well. That's in a day by day basis.
I might want to lose weight faster than it will happen, but the approximate time and the end goals are possible. I want to be strong, fit, and totally hot! I think that is achievable, and it will just take some work and good fuel for my body(oh and time of course)
I don't see any reason why you couldn't reach your fitness goal?0 -
Yes it is!!
With a made up mind..... ALL is possible.
Wish much success to all !!0 -
My weight loss goal? Absolutely!
Personal goals? Some of them. I live in hope/denial lol0 -
I believe so. I'm not setting a firm goal because my biggest concern is how I feel in my clothes and about my body. I've set a goal of between 35 to 45 pounds lost. I'm aiming at 40 since I'm rewarding myself for every 10 pounds lost. :-)0
