You could measure your self, not sure how to do that but sure you can look it up online..you just use a tape measure you use for sewing!

big thread on this last week with an online calculator:

    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/308197-i-found-a-bra-size-calculator-that-isn-t-wrong-omg

BTW, I think VS has poor quality bras, plus since they only carry up to D, they will tell you you need a larger band size to keep you in an ill-fitting D. They told me I was 34D when I'm really 30F. Better to go to a specialty store or Nordstrom. Freya is a great brand; well superior to VS.

the online calculator does not work at all

I couldnt fit in any bras but got a sports bra tho. The measuring below your breasts do work. So go with that measurement. And the sports bra works perfectly but i dont know about big boobs. I am only size b so they fit me good

Despite what a lot of the sites say, I'd count your actual underbust measurement as your band size instead of adding on inches. If you're used to a bigger band size, then you'll have to go up cup sizes if you drop the band size. I found the bra calculator linked above was fairly accurate for me, but not for everybody.

I find it depends on the make too, so you really have to try them on and see.

Go in store and have them do it for you. It's no big deal, they have seen it all before :)

Go out and try them on. Lane Bryant is good, so is Belk's, they have a lot of different sizes, although if you want cheap WalMart is almost as good.. Remember that the bigger the band size, the bigger a cup is, so a 34D is different from a 38D in fit. Just try around until you find what feels and looks good.

Its definitely worth going to a shop and being measured, rarther than measuring yourself. It worth going to a specialist lingerie shop- and they normally offer it as a free service. It's not just the size, you get to try on brands that you dont find in debenhams and other large stores, and some of them are so much more comfortable than the standard department store bras. I did this recently, and found out I was wearing the wrong size altogether. Its definitely worth the bother.

Go in and get measured if you can! I work for a store that offers free bra measurements to customers, and we do everything we can to make sure people are totally comfortable. It takes about five seconds, they measure over your clothing, and if you want a bit of privacy, they'll do the measurement in a fitting room.

just get measured when you go shop. it really isn't so bad. i was measured for the first time last year and realized what i thought was a c cup was a d cup.

If you really refuse to get it done in a store (by a "professional'), at least have a friend or family member do the measuring.

Also, with help from a Macy's bra saleswoman--I've found that I might fit into one brand's 34C and another brand's 36B. So it's worth trying on a variety of sizes and styles. And in the dressing room, make sure to stretch, jump, and sit to make sure it stays in place.

(Less helpfully but bra-related: I'm personally a bit anti-Victoria's Secret because a few years ago, after I'd lost like 60 pounds and was feeling good about how I looked, I went in for a bra fitting and 2 different women measured me and brought me a few bras to try on, and then declared that they didn't know what size I was and didn't have anything that would fit me well.)

    Good luck!
