Pack & GO!
Alright so I'm starting a new job on Monday and I'd really like some ideas as to what I can pack into a lunchbox and bring with me to work that will not only "stay" long enough until I eat it, as well as not totally burst the calorie/sodium bubble for me.
I'm also open to quick-pack snacks too!
Meals that are 400-600 calories each would would be excellent! I have a problem with eating "too much" sodium most days, so low sodium meals would be great too.
Thanks in advance everyone for your input

I have invested in an insulated lunch box and a small "blue ice" that I pop back in the freezer when I get home. Unfortunately shelf stable food is usually high in sodium. I also bought some tupperware that you can store food in and then vent for microwaving. I can pack healthy leftovers in those from home. Some of the staples I pack are lowfat yogurt, fruit, spinach salad with kens northern italian light dressing. Laughing cow cheese wedges, 100 calorie thin raisin bagels. Chicken breast on whole grain bread for sandwiches. If I make something healthy for dinner I just pack it for lunch as I put away the leftovers. Sometimes I might pack two days worth of lunches at the same time. Cook up a big batch of something healthy this weekend and pack it all week long.0

Is there a fridge at work? What about salads or sandwiches? You can make salads pretty filling when you start adding in things like grilled chicken, boiled eggs and whatnot! Some days my lunch is whatever fruits and veggies I want with a laughing cow wedge and some low sodium ritz crackers! If you've got a microwave at work, there's also the option of left overs! Do you have a thermos? When I was in high school and my mom would make spaghetti or soup or something, if I heat it up in the morning it usually stayed mostly hot through out the day until lunch time! My nephew has this super nifty thing for cereal and milk (which can also work for things like yogurt, etc). You freeze the bottom of the cup for a while, then pour your milk in there, it gets attached to the bottom of the cup (where your cereal is), and come lunch time, he can take the bottom off and pour the still cold milk in his cereal!0
