Just curious really that I am starting off on the right foot, calorie wise. It seems very confusing, just wondered what other ladies my height eat?

I am 205.5lb :)

Hi, I'm 5'7and 202 so almost the same :) in the couple of weeks I've been doing this I have decided that I need 1500 per day. I tried eating less but I was miserable so Im aiming to lose slowly and hopefully be able to stick with it :)

Firstly I'd like to say. Well done on what you've achieved so far so you can't be doing too bad.

I'm almost at goal weight but I started on 1200 but only managed to stick to it for about a month as I got too hungry and didn't have the energy to do my running. I increased it every few weeks and ate back most of my calories and found I was still loosing. Then I tried the TDEE method which is good and set my calories at 2000 and didn't eat back any running calories but I had a couple of dizzy spells the days after long runs and just found I was too hungry so now I'm on 2000 and eating back most of my running calories and see how it goes.

    Good luck :flowerforyou:

I eat 1500 calories a day (sometimes up to 1800, but I break even on those days and don't lose any weight).

Just tagging along because we are the same height and I'm around 205-208 pounds. Have been trying 2000-2200 cals and usually around 1500-2000 burned at the gym a week but not hardly losing. Very tempted to drop the calories down to 1800 and see if that works. BMI is around 1650.

My BMR is about 1450 and my calorie needs are ~2300 based on my activity level. I'm shooting for 1800-1900 kcal a day. Although I don't really count calories these days, I just estimate.

I think you mean your BMR is around 1650 - your BMI (body mass index) basically tells you how overweight you are.

I am slightly over 5'7" and started out in mid-April at 220 and now weigh 205. MFP has set me at 1220 calories a day but that's not enough food for me. I generally burn between 400 - 700 calories a day and usually eat them back. No matter what, I make sure I eat over my BMR (which is 1583) and below my TDEE (which is 1900) and so far that has been working for me.
