Hi all:flowerforyou: I just bought a new ipod nano. I have some audiobooks on my old mp3 player, and I would like to put them on my ipod, so that I can listen to my books while I workout. I have been told that I can do this, but no one knows how to do this. I know that I need to get the books on my itunes first, and then transfer them to the ipod. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. Everyone on this site is so great, so I thought that I would see if any of you all could help me. Thanks for any advice you have:flowerforyou:

I use my ipod for audio books all the time. All of my books came from audible.com and go right to itunes when downloaded. When my first ipod broke, I had to use my creative MP3 player which used Windows Media Player. By playing the book on the computer for about a min in itunes, it would show up on Windows Media Player. I could then drag it to the sync area and download it.

This may work in reverse to get book from Windows Media Player to itunes. When my ipod is plugged into the computer, it shows up on the left side of the screen between the store and playlist. I just click on song or book in the library (if you hold Control A down you can highlight multi items) and then drag them to the ipod name and they transfer over.

It has been awhile since I've done it, but I believe you can also click on Library then Add to Library and get it to search your computer for playable things to add to itunes. Good luck.

I love walking and working out to my books on tape. I am addicted to books :blushing: I always 3 to 4 books going at a time (1 in the car on audio, 1 bookclub book on audio - not always a good book, 1 audio that I cant put down and 1 actual book that I'm reading) (sigh - I need a life)...

So what type of books do you like? Who is your favorite author? What is your favorite book?

Using audible.com - if you plan to buy more books, the best deal is to get a year membership for $230 that gets you 24 credits. That makes is less than $10 a credit. Most books including new releases can be purchased for 1 credit. I have found this to be the cheapest way to get books. Once a member, they have sales often that are $4.95 for selected books or 1/2 off books.
