"Timeouts" do really work

HA! Now that I got the attention of those who thought this was a "spanking vs timeout" thread, I will continue to say that TIMEOUTS work..................................TIMEOUTS for you that is.
There are studies that show that people who take 1 hour out for themselves a day, end up less stressed and are happier then their counterparts who don't.
While it's important to take care of your family, it's just as important to take care of that person that wants to take care of the family.
So make sure you take an hour minimum for yourself. Make the time don't try to find it.

I used to take an hour for myself every day. And then my kids stopped napping. It's been a really rough transition.0

Hehe, I was about to go on this huge speech about timeouts vs spanking.
Anyhow, your right. Thanks0 -
I like my alone time coffee in the morning before the kids wake up. Keeps me sane!! I also enjoy their nap time!0

I was getting up early, but lately I haven't been able to get out of bed. I think it's my new allergy med. Annoying! Morning coffee time is the best.0 -
So right. My wife gets hers when I go to the gym and take the kids with me. I get mine after the gym. As for spankings, I was spanked and turned out fine. I still get spanked and I get a thrill from the misses. My kids get it, but not like I did when I was a kid. Anyway, I hope you're getting your time Ninerbuff!0

Spanking is also a great form of exercise so don't brush it under the carpet just yet! LOL
Having 4 kids, it's tough to find *me* time. At the moment I get around a half hour in the evening and use it to soak in a hot bath with a good book. I have to admit, the peace and quiet works wonders at the end of a busy, busy day. I might see if I can stretch it to an hour, even at the risk of looking like a prune!0 -
i am always made to feel guilty when i take time out to hit up the gym or zumba..
doesn't make it easy to do0 -

Toatally agree! I have 5 kids so I wake up early adn hit the gym at 6am M-F. That way I can stop at the grocery store on the way home kid free and have some time to check in here. It seriously keeps me sane.0

My workouts are my "ME" time0

If I had an extra hour in a day I could do that. My timeouts are when I am sleeping.0
