Hello All!

Happy Monday! :O)

I'm new to MFP and was wondering if there were any ladies on here that are tall like me (5ft 10) and was wondering what your target weight is?!

    I'm 5' 10" and am currently pretty happy with 156.5....but wouldn't balk at a few more pounds.

    Yep! I'm 5'10 and currently weigh 207. I started weighing 263! That's 56 pounds lost since Jan 2011!

    I'm between 5'9'' - 5'10'' and my target weight is 165 atm, but after I achieve that goal I hope to get between 155-160 :) Feel free to add me!

    5 10.5. I'm right at 150, 7 pounds under goal. I'm happy with where I am, but I've had comments lately that I may be too thin now...not sure who to believe.

    Welcome to MFP! I'm 5'9" and I have a target of 160 listed but really it is going to be where I feel best. At this point I am thinking it might be lower than 160 but I want to be healthy, not skinny. If you are looking for friends, you can add me.

    I'm getting the same thing at 156.5.

    We are above the halfway point of the BMI range, so I just ignore the comments.

    I'm 5' 10.5". My ideal goal weight would be between 165-169. I would be thrilled to hit 175. I would settle for 180 though. :)
  • Hey girl! I'm right over 5"10.. i looking at 150ish range but more interested in health and the way i look and feel than the #..there is a great group on here Totally Tall Women of MFP and that might be a great help to you. The numbers will make more sense LOL....Well, friend me if you like! =)

    Thanks for all your replies ladies!

    The lowest I've ever been is 11st 13 (167lbs), and I remember feeling amazing...its was nearly 10 years ago though! lol

    I'm aiming for 12st- 12st 7lbs...and would be chuffed to be back in that region!

    For my height, its healthy to be as low as 9st something, but I really can't imagine ever being that light! lol

    I'm 6'.

    SW: 212.2
    CW: 192.2
    GW: 170ish (a size 8)

    I've lost 20 pds, down a pants size, and people are just starting to notice. Most don't. The perks/downside of being tall. I tell a short person I lost 20 pds and they are like "Holy Crap!, If I lost 20 pds, I'd be down 4 sizes!" Yeah, rub it in.

    I defo find that being taller, means you can carry your weight abit better...people are shocked when I tell them my weight! lol

    But on the downside, when you lose it, it doesn't notice as quickly either! Boooo

    I'm 5' 10" and I don't set a target weight. I'm aiming for 22% body fat, which depending on training is currently looking like a target of around 170lbs (12st 2lbs), though it'll change as my training progresses. I did go down to 164lbs a few years ago and was in a size 10 (UK)...... but that was just a bit slim for my liking.

    Good luck in your non-diet endeavours - it's definitely more fun this way!!

    Ohhhhh, I hear you there. I'm 5'11" (190, GW 150).
    Even back when I was thin, short girls would say things like "omg, if I weighed that much I'd be huge!" (and then ask me to reach something for them)

    Lol - that made me chuckle! I always get asked to pass things from the top shelf when I'm in the super market!!

    I am 5'9" and my target weight is 185, starting was 380, I am currently around 228. I think you really have to determine you own range, as I noted some saying they were 5"10" and at 156 etc.. I could never be that, I would be skin and bones, I have a large frame and even now I am in 16/18's, just dropping to 200 will have me in 14's so I know at 185 i will be around size 12 and at my age, which is over 50, that is more than suitable.
