weight gain during period??

Hey! So I'm very short (5 feet) and my weight fluctuates but was at 114.6lbs. I started PMSing and , yes , I started eating more (but kept excercising) and now my weight is up at around 119.2-120.6lbs! I'm still on my period but does anyone else gain that much weight during their period? Thank you

UGH! yep on all the above...
  • Hi,

Yes, I gain weight when i'm on too. But during your period you can lose up to 200 extra calories per day just because your body is working over time. So afterwards, maybe 2-3 days, you should have lost even more than normal :)

Yeah weight gain is normal. I also noticed that when I workout the week before and/during my period I weigh less than when it started. Sometimes alot less. Last month I lost 4lbs while working out during that TIme.

Alright another question- How long AFTER your period does the weight come off?! I'm starting to get worried...

 normally within a few days after is when my weight goes back to normal. I was told it's water/bloating that causes the weight gain... I average about 5 pounds more within couple days prior to getting it and lose it a few days after.
  • I am constantly angry and annoyed at everything. At my last weigh -in I was 65 kgs . A week later ,leading upto my TOM,my weighing scale is driving me nuts showing me values anywhere between 65 and 70.

I still work out and eat healthy but I am thoroughly irritated not seeing its effects reflected on the scale and worse..showing weight gain.
