snacks between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some healthy, high protein snacks to eat in between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner.

Any suggestions would be awesome!

    Low fat cheese stick (or 2) and an apple. Perfect energizing snack especially around the 3pm slump.
  • Try some beef jerky high in protein about 90 calories for every 35g

    I agree with the beef jerky...I eat that too.

    I am also going to make a recipe that was posted on MFP for a snack made with Greek yogurt and sugar free Jell-O....should be high in protein.

    Hi Larry! Greek yogurt is good. If you don't want to have the fruit ones due to the sugar content, get the plain and add your own fruit to it. Almonds are great too! Hope that helps! :)

    2% cottage cheese
    string cheese
    nuts
    peanut butter
    protein shake
    quinoa

    Fruits and veggies are also wonderful too!!

    I like hard boiled eggs. If you have the patience, you could try making tea eggs.

    A Tbsp of Peanut butter and around 6-8 saltine crackers really fills me up and gives me energy for my workouts. Add a piece of fruit and you are rockin'!

    The 3 pm apple is fantastic. I can't explain why this works but after eating this little fruit there are many times I struggle to eat dinner later.
