I am so stressed. And when I'm stressed that's usually when things go wrong. Nothing has been going right. I feel like I cannot control my children or my relationship and I have just not been keeping up with things. Any advice on how to overcome the stress times? Please help I don't wanna stop and gain the 14 lbs I've lost.

Hey.... I feel your pain sistah! :grumble: :noway:
I recently lost my job and have many stresses too.
I react by getting in a bad mood and being lazy & unproductive.
So what can I tell you??? It really helps me to:
WORK OUT, EAT HEALTHY & BE KIND TO YOURSELF!
Can you get a break from the family for even a short time?
Go for a good walk or to a favorite coffee shop & read or write in a journal?
Talk with a good friend? Sew, knit or do some crafts? Whatever you really enjoy doing.
Know that things are crummy now, but will get better!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
p.s. Update your signature to reflect the 14 lbs. lost!
Be proud of that great work Girl!!! :drinker: :flowerforyou:0 -
Stress is my trigger 2. I go for a walk, clean the house, eat celery (eat snacks low in cals), go to the gym, drink water, do something that keeps my hands busy and my mind free to think past the stress. Sometimes I just give in and I feel really bad afterwards but it helps me not give in next time, sounds crazy I know! Just remember that every day, every moment every hour is brand new, and even if the choice you made a moment ago is bad the next moment doesn't have to include a bad choice.0

I know exactly how you feel. Shopping usually helps me... even if it only window shopping. It gets me away from everything at home for a little bit & lets me put my mind elsewhere. Even when I have to take the baby with me (She's 10 1/2 months), she is great when we are out & about. I think it helps with her stress too lol
I also found that reading helps too. I have never been much of a reader, but I read the Twilight Saga & I felt so much better the whole time I was reading it. It even helped with my relationship with my husband. I didn't feel like screaming as much. Since I finished those books though I really haven't found anything I could get into. I'm still looking though
Hope things get better for you0 -
Stress...emotions...depression, they can all be a killer when it comes to trying to overcome our food demons. My only advice is exercise...when I can't control my food intake for one reason or another, I can exercise, and that at least puts some control back into my hands. Even if you have to force yourself to do it, once it's done, it's done.
When it comes to the food side of it...just keep telling yourself that with all that's going wrong in your life...overeating isn't going to help any of it. The surest way to make yourself feel even more stressed is to put back on that weight you worked so hard to get off.0 -
For a while I was really stressed because my daughter's bedtime was really crazy. She'd cry off and on for up to 2 hours before falling asleep and that was even with me rocking her, taking her for a drive, or laying with her. Then I found a book called Good Night Sleep Tight by Kim West at the library. I recommend this book to anyone with kids. It's NOTanother let your child cry themselves to sleep book. We went from 2 hours to fall asleep one week to her falling asleep with out crying the next. Once my daughter started sleeping I realized how sleep deprived I was and how overly stressed I got because of it. Definately try to get out of the house and move. You can even take the kids. Let them wear themselves out at the park. That way you are all getting fresh air, sun, and exercise and you'll feel good for spending time with them. You could even take bubbles with you, they are cheap and very entertaining. Everyone can get lots of exercise chasing them! Good luck.0
