I so understand that irrational thinking! If I just eat these all now- they are gone from the house!

I feel like it would be easier to type a list of food that I CAN have in the house....

I completely agree! Doughnuts would have to be the #1 with Little Debbie following in close behind...little bi@$&!!!

Oreos. :( I'll eat the whole pack. The whole box. D: I cannot resist them!

    This. ^^

... and chips, ice cream, cookies, candies, chocolates.

I find myself thinking irrational thoughts, such as, "I need to hurry up and eat it all so it won't be around to tempt me." ??? LOL

    Ditto on these two statements...

Now, I'm an ex-binge eater, maintainer who believes in eating everything I want in moderation. I am the person who can have a 1KG bar of chocolate in the house and happily eat it two squares a day... HOWEVER, Jaffa cakes... I cannot be trusted near them. There's about 12 in a standard box, which you can rarely buy nowadays and most come in boxes of 36 or 48.... I would eat them in one sitting if they were in the house. Every time i'm in the supermarket I wistfully walk past them, doing the 'just buy them, you'll be fine, you can do this' speech in my head, whilst knowing full well that they wouldn't make it out of the car park. I'd really love a Jaffa cake.

Most things are ok since joining MFP. Nutella is a problem though - so easy to just spoon it from the jar into my mouth. I'm thinking of trying to reintroduce it soon.

    Pie
    Cake
    Cupcakes
    Cookies
    Brownies
    Candy bars
    OMG need I go on?

The Key is moderation, so I no longer bake or bring home full portions. It's too dangerous to have those things around.
I buy things in individual servings size packages.
When I go out to eat, I will share dessert for the most part.

    #1 - Nutella
#2 - A block of chocolate (I buy treat sized chocolate & allow myself one of those instead & it's enough to get rid of the craving).

Ice cream probably, haven't tested that one yet.
We had a whole cheesecake and I didn't touch it.

My two favorite things in the whole wide world.
