this may sound dumb and i guess i could just go to the store and look myself but i already take long enough as it is. so i thought maybe i could ask for some good foods that have fiber in them because i think i need to add more to my diet. i did try the carmel delight fiber one cereal which was very good, but would i be better going with the regular? i know it has less calories. thanks in advance:heart:

    You can get lists from the internet. Type in fiber into google and they'll pop up. Here's a site to get you started.

    http://www.wehealny.org/healthinfo/dietaryfiber/fibercontentchart.html

    I printed it out and keep it in my kitchen, handy for when I need to check how much I still have to get in.

    I depend a lot on veggies and fruits more than cereals, but I'm a celiac so cereals are hard to come by, so to speak...

    Oh my, there are soooooooooo many:

    These are relatively lower glycemic:
    stone ground whole wheat, oatmeal or oatbran
    flaxseed meal (can be added to recipes instead of oil); barley, brown rice, wild rice]
    sweet potatoes;

    Many many others. Add them on guys................

    fruits-berries, pears, apple with skin, veggies-broccoli, leafy greens, , oatmeal, bran flakes or Fiber One, 100% whole wheat bread (check the label-it should be at least 3 grams fiber per serving), whole wheat pasta, lentils, beans, popcorn, /seeds, flaxseed.

    Does that help? :smile:
