This is just a generic question to see what everyone is doing for their routine.. If you take a protein shake or powder when do you usually take it morning, lunch, dinner, after workouts, before workouts, etc? Just a quick little topic. I generally take mine in the morning for breakfast most days as a substitute after a good workout.

  • I make a protein shake after I weightlift in the mornings or when I feel like a had a really hard workout
  • After workouts. Except last night I also had one for my dinner.

I usually do one in the morning at some point between meals, and one within a half hour after my workout.

I take mine when there isnt enough meat around to eat.
Other than that i'll avoid it.

After my workout. I make a fruit "smoothie" with yogurt, milk, fruit, protein powder and creatine.

I'll also add a tablespoon to my yogurt as a snack in the evening if I'm under my protein for the day.

i work out before breakfast as you burn more fat so i drink my shake after my workout for breakfast. work great for me as eating during the morning is a bit hard as i am so busy doing to many things at once.

Post workout. I'll skip it sometimes if I'm only doing cardio that day.
