    my hip width has never been my issue with pants, it's my thigh size :laugh: My thighs have always been bigger than my hips, even when I was underweight. My quads devour thigh gaps!

    At the moment hip width is around 42 and thighs are 26". I'm 5'5 and wear a size 14.

    I'm 5'7. Hips are 41.25 and a size 10 fits perfect...would like to be in a 6 or an 8...not sure a 6 is feasible as I've always been a pear and a 10lb child did nothing to help that :)

    I'm 5'5". Currently my hips are 42" and I wear size 12 in most brands (still 14s in a few). I hope to get into 10s too. Should be another 2 to 3 inches. I think somewhere between 38 to 40 should fit in most size 10s(US) these days.

    I'm 5'10", hips are also 45 and also a 14! My thighs are a whopping 27" though! Not helpful to your purpose though! LOL

    Hi All, I am struggling with losing inches from my hips. My hip width is a 45 (i think), I wear 13/14 and I'm 5'9. I would love to be a size 10. I'm just trying to get an idea of how many more inches and/or pounds I need to lose......

    Hi OP!

    I think that excess fat from your thighs and hips may be the last place to shift from in your case, I have exactly the same happen to me with my hips.

    Fat went from everywhere else, but my hips were extremely slow, until suddenly a few weeks before I reached my goal, they began to shrink in measurements. I suspect the same will be for you.

    It is such a shame guaranteed spot-reducing isn't possible isn't it.

    Do you do any sport OP? If so, what sort?

    My own measurements are

    Just under 5' 8" tall
    Hips just under 37"
    Pants size 10 UK (6 US)
    Thighs 21"

    I am a true pear shaped lady. My upper portion is much smaller than my lower portion.

    Hips: 43.5
    Height: 5'3.5
    Pants size 10
    Thighs 25

    For me every 10 pounds I lost I lost an inch of the hips.

    im the same way! 36" hip and around 21" for thighs and there is no way i could squeeze into a 2. im mostly 5/6 or 7/8's. boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

    Pants size: 6-8 AE 6's gives me muffin top, but they're made smaller than most. I mostly wear JRs. My 9s are falling off, but I haven't tried any 7s recently. My belly/love handles keep me in bigger sizes cuz I hate muffin top, so I'm constantly pulling my pants up LLOL

    I'm with Holly. I have 36'' hip and 21'' thighs (give or take a half inch". I LUNGGEEE into 2's. 4's seems to work, but the real comfort comes in 5/6's!!!
