I am the same way! You know what I do, I just budget for it. I allow myself an additional 200-300 calories for my sweets. If I dont budget for it and go over my caloric budget for the day because I had my sweets, then my punishment for doing so is sweating it off at the gym! I dont like all the fat free, sugar free stuff! If I'm craving ice cream, or a snicker, etc, I eat it! Everything is ok in moderation. Dont deprive yourself on this journey. If you do, the long term outcome wont be good.

So, have your dessert, responsibly! :-)

Either a square of really good dark chocolate or a couple of dark chocolate covered almonds.

I always allow at least 200 calories for after dinner. That way I can have a salty/crunchy snack or dessert (sometimes both!) Some sweet things I like are frozen yogurt, berries with whipped cream, Oikos key lime yogurt (tastes just like key lime pie), Popsicles, instant pudding made with 1 or 2% milk, a scoop of nutella, McDonald's reduced fat ice dream cones (only 150 calories!), trail mix with chocolate chips or m&m's..

2 tablespoons of PB2, 1 tablespoon of Hershey's unsweetened dark cocoa , some sweetener and 2 tablespoons of water then stir and eat. This satisfies my Choc cravings
