Two years in..60lbs loss. I'm very proud of that. I'm just feeling its just one of those discouraging times where I fail to stay on track. I struggle with emotional eating, I see a therapist..sometimes I feel like I'm not finding it much help, but we only talked a handful of times and trying to really give it a chance for my therapist and I to work together. I like her, shes nice. I'm about 1000 miles away now seeing family for the summer. It's just harder now. I've been struggling to get back in the game and staying there for a while. I lost a total of 80lbs..10lbs away from my goal weight just before the holidays..and then..BOOM! I lost track and gained 20lbs back. I lost my way. I'm still trying to find my way. I want to eat. I want to quit. I just want to be healthy, fit, sexy & thinner. I want to wear dresses. I want to wear a bikini..hell, I wanna go skinny dipping and be proud of it. I just feel like reaching all that is next to impossible.

You've done a great job so far! It's not a race to the finish line, it's about making life-long changes to your habits and mindset to reach and maintain your goals.
I'm in one of those weird places where I feel like giving up too. They happen to all of us. But, even struggling and having bad days mixed in with the good is better than giving up completely. Sounds like your schedule and routine changed, which throws me off of my goals every time. Just do your best through summer, and you'll probably be ready to rock and roll as soon as life goes back to normal.0 -
you can do this:D you've done it before. sometimes we face challenges but the important thing to ask yourself is "what am i gonna do about it today" you can choose to keep your old habits or you can choose to be strong and say no more! you need to kick yourself in the behind and make a change.0

I've given up so many times as well and I know how you feel but you just ahve to keep thinking of the outcome. Spo when you feel like pigging out just think a second on the lips is a life time on the hips! Therefore your already thinking of future outcomes lol :P0

I think that some days/minutes/years are just worse than others, and a friend of mine talks about being "an ant on the move", and just doing whatever small steps are needed as you go along, whether it's fun or not or rewarding in the short term or not. I find alot of people can be cranky or overwhelmed themselves, so it has to be YOU that sticks to the goal, even if it feels like the support isn't really there. I know that sounds sort of dull and boring, but in life, i have found that just doing it now is like a gift you give to your future self, whether it's saving money or getting healthy or enjoying yourself for the moment. Some motivational books about positive attitude in general can be really helpful too, since the people seem like nice coaches. Good luck with it!0

I think we all have those moments. Its easy to get discouraged and fall back into our comfort zone, or unhealthy habits. You have already lost 80 lbs once.. holy cow that is a major accomplishment!! Dig deep and find that determination again... I know you can do it! Try to remember how great you felt when you accomplished what you did before. Best of luck to you!:flowerforyou:0

Debate the negative thoughts. Capture them mid-flight. Have a HEALTHY debate for your own sake ! You've done it before, you can do it again. A strong weapon in the battle is to speak out the positive. Write it down !0

You have done such an awesome job, dont give up. Don't let it beat you. Find yourself a new incentive, reward yourself for beating it up and getting back on track. String together a couple of good days. Make your good days outnumber your bad days. I am a two day old member. I am really hoping this place will keep me motivated on my bad days as well. All the best on your brand new day tomorrow0

Hang in there.
It's got to be hard being so far from home, without your regular routine, without your SO by your side.
You have come so very far. Don't give up now. Take a little break if you must. Slow down if things are really hard.. but don't stop!
I think the person that said have a debate with yourself about being healthy is on to something. Remember why you started. Remember how you feel when you are on track and in the zone.
Remember this.
"It doesn't matter how many times you fall down. What matters is how many times you get back up."
You can totally do this. Believe in yourself. Stand strong and keep going!0 -
when i started my weight loss journey - i was 270 - i'm down to 210 and i have been stuck going up and down within 10 lbs for weeks. it's hard to see all the good you've done and work you've put into doing such a wonderful job when you get stuck. you have come a long way and don't you forget it. it's a lifelong journey and one that you have to take one day at a time. just keep in mind how good it felt to get to where you are and you'll keep going. you are good enough to reach your goal and just love yourself for how far you've come :flowerforyou:0
