Yesterday I wrote a post that I stuck to 1200 lbs a day and exercised every day, and didnt lose anything. Well I think I know the problem? I weighed myself on two different scales. This morning I weighed myself on the scale I weighed myself yesterday and it says I lost 4 pounds in a week. THATS MORE LIKE IT. I am so excited. To reward myself I worked out at the gym for an hour and a half! I am sooooo excited!!!!!!

Stick to one scale. Weigh yourself buck naked in the morning right before your shower and AFTER you've peed. If you don't, you'll have to determine how much to take off for your clothes and the time of day if you weighed before/after you ate; before after you worked out, if you're retaining water, TWO weeks before you actually menstruate, etc.
Thus the reason why I weigh myself once a month (Weigh yourself once a week; then gradually do that every two weeks, and THEN every month). The scale shoudn't determine how well you're doing at your workout regimen and changing your eating habits. At the beginning you will lose an AVERAGE of 4-5 pounds due to water gain weighed since you'll be "flushing your body" when you continue to drink 64 oz of water a day. THEN the weight will be an AVERAGE of 1 pound a week. If it doesn't, then you'll have to step back and look at your food diary and exercise diary; making SURE you refrain from alcoholic beverages, fat, cappucinos/fraps, sodium, white flour products, sweets, etc., etc.
Blessings! :flowerforyou:

Congratulations! Keep up the good work. You are doing all the right things. Definitely use the same scale in the same position wearing the same clothing (or lack of) and at the same time of day. Otherwise, the scale will disappoint you or falsely encourage you. Don't rely on the scale to tell you how well or bad you are doing. Inches will come off faster than the pounds. Measure weekly or monthly. Even when the scale doesn't move, the tape measure usually does. Also, look at the way your clothes fit. Most importantly, look at how much better and healthier you feel. That is, after all, the main reason you should be on this journey. Congrats again!

congrats!!! Stick to the same scale and log your weight on the same day of the week, same time of day.
