Anyone have any tips or tricks to getting turkey bacon crisp? It seems like it takes twice as long as pork bacon to get crispy.

  • I've been off pork for 15 or 16 years now and have had this struggle just as long. I love turkey bacon but the best thing I can suggest is to shop around different brands and see which one crisps the best for you. ONE method I've found that tastes great and is the most crisp I can find is to put it in the oven on a broiler pan or something else where the heat can get to all sides (I personally use a cookie cooling rack) and cook for the suggested time, but then flip on the broiler momentarily and don't leave the oven door (watch it like a hawk), because it'll burn fast. It's still not as crisp and wonderful as regular bacon but it's the best I've gotten so far.

    Good luck!
