My first ever post... and a NSV?!

Hi all!
I have been lurking around here for a while, looking at all you amazing people (in some cases literally - these photos are mind-blowing!), and I've been wanting to post. Now I have something to post about!
Honestly, I just started counting calories and trying to watch my diet for the umpteenth time starting on Sunday. Usually, it's the first few days that are the hardest for me, because I will get a dinner invitation, or someone will bring a treat to work, and then I think "oh well, I'll just start tomorrow." And when that's your attitude, tomorrow never comes.
But today was different! It did start out a little dicey. My boss brought in delicious breakfast treats, and I helped myself to one. Then I realized I'd forgotten my lunch and due to my work schedule and sheer location I had to settle for high-calorie convenience food. And then, to top it all off, my friend asked me to go to dinner with her... a friend who is my same size and weight and who I typically tend to eat tons of nachos with all the while complaining about my size.
But not today! I went straight home after work and logged my calories, and then I looked on the restaurant website (Panera) and found something I could eat and not go over my calorie budget! (For those who are interested, it was a half portion of their strawberry poppyseed chicken salad, dressing on the side, with an apple. Amazing and satisfying too!)
Another day, I will try to maybe limit my carbs and my fat content particularly. But today is not that day. Today is the day where I celebrate "tomorrow!" Soon enough, maybe I'll be courageous enough to post some before and after photos just like all of you! :-)
