    It really depends. My chest is an 8 or a 10, my hips are a 6 or a 4. So I typically have to buy the 8/10 and get the waist and hips taken in. Stretchy dresses are my best friend. Structured dresses with a zipper are no fun...

    I'm 5 10.5, 150lbs. Sizes are in USA...

    168 pounds her (just under 12 stone) UK size 8-10 top half, 16-18 UK bottom half (leaning towards the 16). I have some size 14's for my bottom half, it just depends on the style.. I never wear trousers, just skirts or dresses. Have been known to rock some dungarees or shorts sometimes.

    I am a size 16 but wear a 10, depending on the brand, but my wife says this make me look fat as well as GET OUT OF MY CLOTHES :wink:

    I am 10st 8lbs but I have weight in tomorrow. and I'm 5ft 4inch.

    I'm a UK size 16 top (my bust is 34GG) but thinking of now buying size 14s. Bottoms I am wearing size 14 trousers but they are hanging off me so will now be buying a 12.

    Lost 12lbs in 3 weeks so far on the cambridge diet.

    See this is what's so crazy! I'm same stats as u more or less but I'm a Size 12- no hope in hell of being an 8! I was a Size 12 16lb ago too (maybe 14 in some tops).

    It must be to do with body frame/build?

    I think you are right because some of the people in my range are way off in sizes and idk how...gotta be the frame!

    there is a difference of 2 sizes between USA and UK so USA size 14 is UK 18 etc

    What is the difference between US and UK Sizes anyways?

    It's 2 sizes different between UK and US, so if you're a size 14 in the UK you're a size 10 in the US (one reason to buy US clothes and not cut out the labels :wink: )

    I'm 5' 2", 158lbs, UK size 14 on the bottom and 16 on the top.


    This is so true I order a lot of clothes from the UK and I wear a size 10 there max and an 8 in most styles in the US I am a 4 or 6..it's nutty we should all switch to UK sizes for our sanity :laugh:

    I'm 5'6 and currently weigh 147 pounds. I am comfortably in a UK10 for trousers and 8 for tops. When I am approx 143-145 pounds I fit into a UK 8 trouser.

    Hi,

    I do think it is to do with body frame/ build yes. I am 5, 2 and a half, I weigh 220lbs and am in a size 18-20 clothes (Depending on where I shop). The smallest I have been as an adult is a size 14 and the photos I have around that time - I look ill. Some shapes and sizes are not meant to be stick thin. I am aiming for a 16-18 :)
