Not enough calories??

I feel so defeated right now. I feel like I am doing everything right but the scale won't budge. I walk 5-6 times a week at a fast pace for about 45 minutes. I also do strength training about 3-4 times a week. I am set at a 1430 calorie day but I will admit most days I still have 400-600 calories remaining after I input all my food and exercise. I don't know if I am supposed to be eating more to get closer to my daily caloric needs or not. I don't feel like I am starving myself at all. I have only lost about 3 or 4 pounds in the last month or so. It just seems like with all the exercising and healthy eating I'm doing, I should be losing more :( I am trying not to get too discouraged, but my wedding is coming up and I really wanted to be at least 30 pounds lighter. If anyone has any advice for me, I would appreciate it!

Not enough calories is right! EAT. Fuel your body. Check out the group Eat More to Weigh Less to find out how much you should be eating and your body will thank you.

That being said, 3-4 pounds in a month is great progress. That's a pound/week, which is a very respectable amount.

    THIS!!

    eat more to weight less.
net just above your BMR, and under your TDEE! :)

Your body is in starvation mode. Try increasing your calories or decreasing your exercise. You have to stay over 1200 NET calories for your body to function properly. This means you can eat 1500 calories and burn 300 and your NET is 1200.

    Good luck!

Thank you all so much! I will check out the Eat More to Weigh Less thing. I will definitely try to eat more calories (healthy of course) and see if that makes a difference!
