A sign on the barber's door says "I shave only those who do not shave themselves". Does the barber shave himself?

A man is trapped in a room. The room has only two possible exits: two doors. Through the first door there is a room constructed from magnifying glass. The blazing hot sun instantly fries anything or anyone that enters.
Through the second door there is a fire-breathing dragon. How does the man escape?
Okay... He opens the magnifier door, then goes over to the other door with the dragon Door #2........ Opens that door. Hides behind it until the dragon comes out into the room... He quickly goes thru the second door, and shuts the door, and gets away. So the dragon doesn't have any choice, and has to go thru the magnifier door, if he wants to get out of the room. And he burns up and dies. Or flys away into the flames... Fly be free....

    IS THAT HOW????

So with you on this... couldn't stop laughing this was funny!
Kill the chicken, pluck it, roast it, and serve it with the corn. Then take your dinner, along with your dog, across the river (make two trips if you're afraid of dropping something). Eat your fill, then head off into the sunset with the dog. That's how I'd do it, anyway.

A lesbian couple have two daughters together- one that is already an adult and one that is still a child. That adult daughter has two more daughters- bringing the grand total up to 6 people.

It's a NEW DAY! Let's begin with an easy one!

A boat has a ladder that has six rungs, each rung is one foot apart. The bottom rung is one foot from the water. The tide rises at 12 inches every 15 minutes. High tide peaks in one hour. When the tide is at it's highest, how many rungs are under water?

None...the boat would rise with the tide.

ETA: I have not herad this one before...I'm just that smart. :)

    Read this sentence:

    FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
    SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
    STUDY COMBINED WITH
    THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Now count the F's in that sentence. Count them ONLY ONCE.
Do not go back and count them again.

A frog fell into a hole that was 14 1/2 feet deep. He could jump 3 feet, but he slid back a foot each time he jumped. How many jumps does it take him to get out of the hole?

    7 Jumps?
Once he has jumped 6 times he will have got 12 feet - the next will get him out

I have a couple of my own - first, a classic...

There are 4 men who have to get across a bridge to catch the midnight train.

It is night time and it is pitch black.

They have a torch without which they can't cross.

The bridge is only strong enough to carry 2 of them at a time.

The 4 men have various levels of fitness such that:

Man A can cross in 1 minute
Man B can cross in 2 minutes
Man C can cross in 5 minutes
Man D can cross in 8 minutes

The crossing time depends on the slowest member, eg if Man A goes with Man D, it takes 8 minutes as even though Man A can cross in 1 minute, they must both remain together with the torch.

It is currently 23:45 so they have precisely 15 minutes to get across to make the midnight train.

How could they all get across the bridge, always using the torch to light the way?

First think of the person who lives in disguise,
Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what's always the last thing to mend,
The middle of the middle and the end of the end?
And finally give me the sound often heard,
During the search for a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together, and answer me this,
Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

AB, Aback, CD, B Back, AB

    2 + 1 + 8 + 2 + 2

Why is that a 'Riddle' ? or are you really gonna F me off my saying the torch can stay with the group at the beginning and be shined at the bridge - I hate that kinda thing!
