What are your July goals?

What are your July goals?

Mine are...

Reach a total of 60 lbs lost..that is 8 lbs from today.
Have 4 solid 600 plus calorie burning workouts per week
Begin a heavy lifting plan
Encourage 2 friends to join mfp who are not currently members
Only look at the scale once a week-I've kind of been obsessed

  • Basically to keep doing what I'm doing:

    80oz water a day
    1-3 hrs of exercise a day

    Bonus: I am attempting C25K, so I'd like to be making progress on that during the next month but will have to see how my damaged feet and knees hold up.. so it's not an official goal.

    Mine are

    Work out 6 times per week for 45-60 minutes (after I get back from vacation on the 16th)
    Not get on the scale AT ALL
    Move up on weight for squats (25 lbs) and biceps curls (17.5)
    Start Green Smoothies at least a few times per week

    Jog/Run 31 miles in July (average a mile per day)
    Walk 4 miles / week (daily one mile afternoon walks at work, 4 out of 5 work days a week)
    Go on one bike ride each week, any mileage, just get on the bike.
    Lose 4 pounds or more.

    To workout 5-6 days a week
    To enjoy my weekend at the beach and not feel TOO self conscious :)

    Weigh 160 - 162
    Make some (reasonable) progress with C25K
    Gain some arm and core strength

    At the moment my core is a COMPLETE joke, and my right leg (tibial stress fracture, got quite bad before I realised what it was) is keeping me from doing a lot of running, but I'm getting there.

    * get to 25 pounds total loss on the scale (only 7 pounds away!)
    * keep drinking 96 ounces of water a day
    * get to the gym 5 days a week (400-500 calories burned each day)
    * fit into my size 14's!
    * NO FAST FOOD AT ALL!!! I already promised my husband I would take July and not eat out so I can donate that money to his August missions trip to Honduras, so I gotta keep that promise, and that will help me in a HUGE way!

    - Jog longer than 25 mins straight (maybe 30 mins at 5.5 speed!)

    Lose 10 pounds
    Workout 3+ days per week (and not just walking. I need to run, do DVDs, hit up the gym).
    Drink 80oz+ of water per day.
    Cut back on my sweets!

    Good goals! My main goal for getting on MFP was to lose 10 pounds before my holiday in July. I didn't lose that weight on the scale. But, my inches are way down and I feel great. So, I'm AOK with that.

    So, my goal for July will be to TOTALLY enjoy myself during my vacation, but to not gain any weight. That is, to be the same weight in August that I am before I leave for my trip. That will mean being disciplined before and after and doing lots of walking/exercise during.

    Well... was hoping to reach the 25 lb loss mark by July 1st but that doesn't seem like its going to happen. But I will keep doing what I am doing and try to reach the 30 lb mark by Aug 1st!

    Some of my goals are similar to yours. I've lost 21 lbs since late April of this year and hope to reach 185 by August 5th (i.e. 1 8 5 by 8 / 5...I like using numbers to set goals). I'm currently at 193 so like you, I have 8lbs to go until that. I also hope to begin some serious strength conditioning once I reach a total loss of 30 lbs (which would be at 184lbs). For most of July, I'm going to be working out a plan and figuring out what I want to work on next.

    Continue workouts 5 days a week - cardio 600 cal a day
    Continue strength training that i just started to incorporate with consistency in weight lifted for July, work through the soreness.

    Keep my calorie intake around 1500 a day
    Overall weight reduction of 15-20 lbs (seems high but i am heavy right now)

    Live my new life proudly.

    ride the macauley road to miracle beach to home on the bikes
    start a strength program

    And the hubby wants NO WHITE FLOUR OR PRODUCTS FOR THE MONTH

    My July goals are to stick with my insanity workouts and couch 2 5K program and hopefully lose a ton of inches and drop around 10 pounds!
