Thinking of starting over...

I've successfully managed to lose 27lbs since Feb (yay) and part of me keeps wanting to lose more even though my BMI is 19.9 and people have told me that I don't need to lose anymore, I am pretty happy with my weight now but at the same time I'm not happy with myself...
In the past couple of weeks I've had a few binging and purging sessions, which I'm not proud of at all but after today I've thought to myself, maybe my problem isn't with my weight it's with myself (if that makes sense)
I'm putting pressure on myself to change, thinking it will make me happier when it won't and I'm developing an unhealthy relationship with food because of it....
anyway, do you think it would be a good idea to delete this account and start over maybe setting my goals to maintain my weight and focus on being healthier?
any support would be grateful right now by the way!

If you mean start over on MFP...why not just readjust your settings and goals in your exisiting account? The support and motivation on this site can go a long way!
In the end, you have to do what works for you...just DON'T GIVE UP on yourself!0 -
I might do that It's just I'm finding it really hard to be happy with myself at the moment, and I thought if I'd lose weight I would be and I'm not... I still want to lose weight I don't know if I should just try maintain my weight for a month or so until I feel a bit more stable and then try again?0

Ha! It's just the past few months have been really stressful, had my a levels (which I need to have done well in to go to uni!) my ex is now seeing one of my friends despite me not being over him plus all my friends are like tall thin and gorgeous!
I think I just need a change of game plan0 -
Sounds like taking a break might be a good idea...get your other issues straightened out and then get back at it. Don't be afraid to see a threapist or something too...if it helps to have a neutral party to vent to!
I'd stay the heck away from the "friend" who is dating your ex too. Its unhealthy and she doesn't sound like much of a friend if she's dating him, knowing you aren't over him!
Hang in there..problems that seem horrible right now always seem way less significant after some time has passed!!0 -
thank you for the help!
yeah i'm really upset with her to be honest, she didn't even ask me if I would mind... I just think at the moment everything is getting a bit too much. I have an appointment with the doctor soon anyway because I haven't had a period since feb (which I think is due to stress) and I think i'm more likely to keep binging and falling off the wagon if I try and restrict too much now if that makes sense?0
