I'm looking for some friends that exercise quite a bit, like me. I've had some injuries the last few months but I'm coming back strong. I could use some friends to share ideas with and help motivate eachother. I've mostly used this site solo, until now, hopefully. Quite a bit, could mean you train for triathlons, martial arts, sports, lifting, pretty much everything and anything, although I would love it if there are some other people who train for mulitple things at once. For instance, I'm currently training for sprint triathlons and I also lift. In a few months, I'm hoping to add martial arts back into the mix too.

Hi Alex, :flowerforyou:
I used to do tris. Got injured, had a year off and just starting back now with general exercise, just to shift some lard.
My current motto is "something most days" but I'm not ready for a rigid training plan routine but am giving myself flexibility to do what I feel like doing for the day.
So at the moment it's a mix of trail running with the dog, spin classes (good for building cardio fitness as well as fat burning as HIIT based), pilates (I came back with zero core strength and back pain and pilates helped that a lot), yoga (I lost a lot of flexibility), swimming and weight lifting. Oh, I also do a "Fitball Class" which is like circuit training with a swiss ball which is good fun. And we hike a lot. I used to do a bit of padwork and quite fancy getting back into boxing for a laugh... it was quite "therapeutic".
Will send you a friend request. :drinker:0 -

Yes, injuries have been a big obstacle for me this past year, but I'm ready to make a push! All that exercise sounds great Kara_xxx!
Sassybellex, I just added you;-)0 -
I am a veteran marathon runner(Big Sur, New York, Boston - all 3:51) I turned fifty, got injured and gained sixty five pounds. Last summer I broke my leg in three places and spent the year recovering from that injury. I was able to get back to the gym last November unrestricted. I also joined MFP that same month. When you can't walk run or do much of anything - that is when you get seriously motivated - and I did. I go to the gym everyday and do an hour on the Arc Trainer(great calorie burner) and I just finished my first round of P90X. I will be starting my second round next week. On weekends I ride my mountain bike for a few hours. Also I am 56 years old, which blows my mind but that is the way it is. I intend to be athletic forever.0

Getting over the hump is really the help I need. I have to have foot surgery later this year, pain permitting, so the better shape I'm in before the surgery the easier it'll be for me to jump right back into it afterwards! I added you shinyshell55.0
