Hello people. Look for online encouragement.

Hiii, everyone.
I won't use my true name because, you know, in these days, everyone can google your name and people can find a lot of things about you easily.
and I decided not to tell everyone that was I was making a new attempt to lose weight this time.
Because all of my friends and family, they know I want to lose weight and be free from this SO BAD,
and I have already realized that, some of these people may even have a true desire to help me,
but they can't do anything about it, in fact, because they are not in this process like I am.
I have some friends who are overweight like I am now, and, guess what... they don't do anything about it. They try for 2 or 3 days, maybe a whole week, and after that, they forget everything and keep on drinking, and parting, and eating processed food. I'm tired of telling my story to the wrong people. I wanna share my story, my life and my goals with people who really CARE for it.
So, that's why I'm here. To make new friends. To encourage. To be encouraged.

There is one more thing. My goal.
Once upon a time, I was 332.89lbs (151kg)
It's was too much for me. I have 5,94 ft (1.81m).
I lost weight and I was able to stay with 233.6lbs ( for two years, since January, 2010).
I tried to lose weight again since that time, but I didn’t work.
People can call me crazy, but my goal is to stay with 135lbs or 62kg.
It it too low? For sure. But it’s still healthy in accordance with IMC calculations.
People around me don’t agree with that. But I KNOW this is possible since I’ve seen a tumblr called http://undressedskeleton.tumblr.com/.
So, I want to find people who can really encourage me by saying that I can make it!
I’m so tired of discussing this subject with people who don’t understand how serious it is.
So… let’s to it together.
I’m starting now with 240,52lbs. :D

Your goals are personal I cant tell you how many people have judged my goals most of them not healthy not trying not sure even who I am really I started at 367 pounds and told my brother one day I will be 65 at 65 165 that is he told me I was nuts I was fine the way I was that was at about 250 yesI was down over 100 pounds but I wasnt finished I an now 64 and about 216 150 pounds down and counting I may hit my goal or maybe not but if I am 180 and half my body is gone I think thats a win at losing
My point is simple if you want a goal and its healthy for you and you acheive it by improving yourself and not starving or abusing your body
    GO FOR IT
PM or add me if you like I have all kinds of stories and support if you want

    Sums it up for me.:flowerforyou:
  • Oh Ke22yB, I agree with you!
    Goals are really personal.
There are some people who want to lose, maybe, 10 pounds, and after that they will be satisfied.
    That's not my case.
I want to lose a big amount, but I only wanna do it if it's the healthy way, the right way!
that's the only one that leads to a successful path as the years go by.

Welcome! I think you will find lots of encouragement and ideas and support here. I always end up searching the posts when I'm in need of information or want to know more about things I've heard other people talk about. There aren't many topics that haven't been discussed (usually repeatedly) in the various groups or posts. Also, I can totally understand how frustrating it is when the things people SAY do not square up with the things they DO...particularly if you are seeking support and motivation from them, it's very disheartening for me to have a workout buddy or a dieting buddy who is more of a drag than a help...it just makes it that much harder for me to stay on track when they always have a hundred excuses for not walking today or for making every day a cheat day. I hope you will find lots of people who genuinely try to stay on track here, I have found a lot and they are awesome inspiration!

I think 240 to 135 is a big jump, so while that may be a great end-goal please consider setting some smaller milestones in the middle so you can have celebrations along the way...getting healthy and fit, then staying healthy and fit is a lifetime journey, so for me it helps to have small steps along the path...like every 20 lbs lost is a MAJOR accomplishment, and for me every month I can STAY ON TARGET with my diet is a HUGE DEAL...having those small steps keeps me from feeling like I'm not making any progress or from feeling like I will never get there. For me it also helps to focus on size and not weight...I have gained 20 lbs and dropped 2 clothing sizes, so it's definitely true that the scale is not the only measurement of success...I wasn't planning to gain weight, I came here looking to lose weight, but I'm pretty happy being a size 4, so I call it a win!!!

Good Luck on your journey to improved health!!!

Yeah darling, that's the secret, to stay on track.
It happened to me a couple times, to go out with a friend to exercise, and in the end of the day, we both failed and ate a lot. lool
and, for sure, a month which you can stay on track is a great accomplishment.

I too recently joined and am truly enjoying what I can do here and just today discovered the message boards. I have an overall goal of 45 pounds (SW 191) but I have decided to break it up into mini goals (so I don't make myself crazy). Each mini goal is 11 pounds. You may want to consider mini goals as well.

Just remember that you can do this and so can I!! :) If you would like please add me as a friend for mutual support!!

    oh, that's good.
my mini goals are related to clothes size.
i'm from brazil. so right now, my jeans size is 48,
but I my first goal is to fit perfectly in a 44 *_*
after that, 42, then 40, to finally fit perfectly in a 38,
    and maybe 36.
once ago I was only able to fit in a 58 jeans! lol can u imagine it? and it was so tight.
