I'v been eating clean(no junk food), eating around 1200 calories and excising everyday. But I've actually gained weight. Am I eating too much or not enough??? I'm just confused as to why the scale is going up instead of down.

if you just started your journey, it's mostly likely that you're building muscles, and muscles weigh more than fat. it's really discouraging to see the scale go up especially when you've been trying really hard. but i'm sure you'll drop 'em soon
good luck

During what span of time have you gained weight and how much? Have you recently changed up your workout, are you using weights? It could be water retention. In any case, without knowing any of your stats, 1200 calories while adding in exercise may be too low if you aren't eating back calories burned.0

We need to know a little more info to help and you should make your food diary public to help. Unless you are very small, eating 1200 is probably not enough. How much exercise do you do and what do you do...cardio and/or strength training? When you track your food are you confident that the numbers are correct?0

With out being able to see your food diary it's hard to say. If you make it public you will get more constructive feedback from everyone.
Off hand I would make sure you NET at least 1200. Are you eating back your exercise calories?
Do you measure or weigh your food for accuracy of portions?
Do you have a HRM to get a more accurate idea of how many calories burned through exercise?
It takes time and patience! If you are doing all the right things, logging properly, the weight will come off!0 -
It may be water retention. Unfortunately it's VERY unlikely you are building muscle eating only 1,200 calories a day. You need to eat more to build muscle.
Make sure you are tracking evrything. Measuring everything... using the information on the packages of what you eat to input. Drink enough water, limit sodium.
Look at increasing your calories. 1,200 is VERY low.0
