Back Stretches

Does anybody know of a site with good back stretches. I have some problems with my lower back and my doctor told me to stretch my back and my hamstrings every day. I know a lot of stretches for my hamstrings but unfortunately not so many back stretches. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Yoga stretches would be your best bet, but this is a site that explains some of the easier stretches you could do now. Be careful though! You could do some serious damage to your back if you don't do them correctly. Hope this helps!

I have lower back problems too. One stretch that I really enjoy doing and feels good is to lie down on the floor or mat with knees bent, cross one leg over the other so they are perpendicular (your ankle should rest on the other knee) and then lift both legs in towards you while keeping your leg crossed. You should feel the stretch up through your bottom and lower back. If you can't lift both legs towards you, only pull in the leg that is bent inwards and keep the opposite foot resting on the ground with the knee bent. I hope I explained that well enough0

Thank you both for your help. I have never heard of this stretch but it sounds like it is very effective.0
