I am proud to say that I have jogged a mile today! :D

Here goes:
I went for a 2 mile walk... and at a 1/2 mile mark I decided that I'm gonna jog. Another 1/2 mile later during which I was walking, I jogged again. So yup, full mile! :D I'm so, so proud of myself. Even though my inner thighs burn from chub rub (I didn't know I was gonna jog, I could've worn leggins T_T) and my pace was ssslow, I still feel accomplished. And, bonus: I heard some guys whistle at me xD

Regular solid anti-perspirant works better and is much cheaper. Give it a try. Good luck!

You have it exactly right. Just jog when you can and walk when you can't and keep trying to push the jogging a little further. Way to go! And eager to see when you post that you have done your first 5K. Cheers!

Congrats! I was in your shoes about 5 months ago. If your excited now, wait till you do a mile straight. I started to add a tic of jogging into my walks 3 months ago. 2 months ago I started to add 2-3 days a week of jogging. Few day sago I managed to do 4.5 miles straight. Im currently 246 lbs. Thats the first time ever in my life Ive jogged that far. Im slow but after about 3 months of jogging I can see my pace slowly start to pick up. I prob avg 15 min mile but starting to see more and more miles in the 14.xx mark. This isnt something you can rush into. Just take your time and enjoy watching the lbs melt off. I know I have. :)

I can do it, anyone can do it.

Wow, I can't wait till I can do a mile straight! :D I always wanted to run and I'm so happy I'm finally taking action. I jog in place quite frequently but it's not the same as this >< I also can't wait till I can run faster like the people I pass on the street :)

ETA: First 5k, huh >< that's one of my dreams! :D
