"Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels!"

(Because the original quote was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" and I feel its better to be healthy than just skinny... But hey, I'll take skinny too if I'm being healthy about it!)

Before I post my list of quotes so far, I want to rant for a sec...

    <rant>
There are a ton of great quotes in this thread, but please please PLEASE, give credit to the person you are quoting. You can often find where a quote comes from--or at least where it is widely believed to come from--with a quick Google search. I am a firm believer that you do everyone a disservice if you don't give credit where credit is due.

Ok, so on with the quotes: *deep breath*
First we make our habits, then our habits make us.
    Charles C. Noble

You can’t cure obesity with bigger pants. My solution is the opposite: put those damned tight pants on and keep wearing them. When they bite at you, it's a reminder to take the stairs instead of the elevator, eat a piece of grilled salmon instead of a chocolate bar and bologna sandwich, and to start walking and biking more. Those tight pants are your biggest ally in addressing the underlying problem – if you give them up, you'll be allowed to forget what the real problem is: your lifestyle has become unhealthy and you're doing everything with a dull saw!
    Mr. Money Mustache

You can't get to wonderful without passing through alright.
    Andrew Zuckerman

The reason that most of us are unhappy most of the time is that we set our goals-not for the person we're going to be when we reach them-we set our goals for the person we are when we set them.
    Jim Coudal

In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins - not through strength, but through persistence.
    Buddha

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow".
    Mary Anne Radmacher

    Persist.
    Austin Madison

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!
    Audrey Hepburn

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.
    Lance Armstrong

Complaining Is Stupid. Either Act or Forget.
    Stefan Sagmeister

Love and desire are the spirit's wings to great deeds.
    Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Either you run the day or the day runs you.
    Jim Rohn

A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.

With self-discipline most anything is possible.
    Theodore Roosevelt

When you fail you learn from the mistakes you made and it motivates you to work even harder.
    Natalie Gulbis

    Change before you have to.
    Jack Welch

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.
    Muhammad Ali

When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.
    Thomas Jefferson

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.
    Norman Vincent Peale

What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.
    Henry David Thoreau

The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.

"Discipline is doing what you know needs to be done even when you don't feel like doing it."

This one's been my motivation for working out on SEVERAL occasions when I felt like making excuses as to why I couldn't/wouldn't exercise. Not sure who actually authored this quote, but he (or she) was right and, dang it, I want to be disciplined! lol.
