Want friends that are watching inches, not weight

Hi there!!
I have been trying desperately to see the scale go down... I slave away at the gym 5-6 days a week, I've winced away from carbs (bad ones, of course), and Chipotle has become my best friend. Every morning, I would rush to the bathroom, strip down to my scivvies and weight myself with anticipation. But I'd walk away with a sad face as soo as I saw that I hadn't lost anything or had even gained weight. But alas! I took out my tape measurer the other day and discovered that I had lost 2 inches. Woohoo!! I THOUGHT I had noticed that my pants were less snug and my dress shirts were laying on me a wee bit better.
After reading tons and tons that THIS is what I should be measuring my weight loss by, I have vowed to put the scale away and to only gauge my achievements by the tape measurer. I'm looking for any and all friends who strictly go by this philsophy instead of relentlessly tourting themselves with watching the weight loss chart line go up, down and then back up again.

Totally hear ya! I always forget to use a tape measure, but I have noticed my clothes fitting better, and have recieved many compliments, despite actually GAINING four pounds since I started exercising. I still want to lose 20-30 pounds to get in a 'healthy' weight zone, but I'm done with the scale except for once a month. :]0
